Guild Wars 2 has announced it's first expansion at PAX, Heart of Thorns.  The expansion is supposed to include a new Mastery System, a new specialization system, a new Profession, Guild Halls, a new Stronghold PvP game mode and a new Borderland WvW. Specializations sound like they will be almost a sub-class. An example I've heard is Rangers will be able to learn abilities of the Druid, giving them some kind of new healing skill and the use of the staff weapons along with some other abilities. The Mastery system is supposed to be account based, where you get points for completing parts of the story, exploring the map, completing challenges, and taking out super creatures. For completing one those you'll get mastery points that let you buy special abilities. I guess their is a hang gliding ability that will let you finish the exploration and give you the ability to get to secret places. Another ability will let you get special crafting items easier. The end of the year is quickly approaching and the gaming industry is pushing out news like it just took some kind of laxative. Blizzard has announced the release date for Reaper of Souls, the expansion to Diablo 3.  March 25 2014. The expansion is going to go for $39.99 for the Digital Standard Edition and $59.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Blizzcon is here and we already have some great news..... Well I think it's great news, it seems like great news. Maybe I'm just being optimistic but optimism is a good thing sometimes. Anyway we heard about the new WoW expansion coming out, Warlords of Draenor.  On their new website, linked here, you can check out the new trailer and news on the new content. The new content is supposed to include: Draenor, In the past I'm guessing (7 zones, 1 PvP zone) Build and upgrade your Garrison Auto level a character to level 90 to start off in the middle of the action New character models, it's about time 6 new Dungeons and 2 new Raids Heroic versions of 2 classic Dungeons More Challenge modes More Battlegrounds and World Bosses New Normal and Heroic Scenarios Level cap raised to 100 New Talents and ability bonuses A revamped quest system and a ton of new quests A lot of this is stuff we've been asking for, for awhile now so it's nice to see Blizzard li...

So it's official, on the 21th Blizzard announced the expansion for Diablo 3, Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls, at the Gamescom. With this expansion we will not only get another act added to the end of the game but a new character, the Crusader. The expansion is supposed to take place in the city off Westmarch and is supposed to be much darker. For the official site you can click here . Oh but that's not all! Oh now Blizzard has given us the opening cinematic for it! Feel free to wet your pants.

So what's the big news for the company that has brought us games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo? The rumor floating around the net is the major news to be released at the upcoming Gamescom will be the first expansion for Diablo. Blizzard has just trademarked the title "The Dark Below" this is thought to be the title of the expansion. We know that that the big news is going to be about Diablo because co-founder Mike Morhaime said it was Diablo related on a earnings call earlier this month. The announcement is supposed to happen the first day of Gamescom, August 21. Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 21-25.

Diablo 3 Expansion Blizzard has official let out Diablo 3 will receive it's first expansion. While their are no details, including what will be included or a release date, they assure us it's coming. With any luck this will tie up some of the loose ends Diablo 3 left us at the end of the game. I'll let you know more as it comes to light. SWTOR Goes Free Star Wars: The Old Republic is finally going free. The first official day of freedom is November 15th. For everything that is going to be included, and excluded for the free players, please check out past blogs. Along with going free on the 15th, a new content download will be available for download. The new content will include new level 50 content. The new content will be available for subscribers, free to play players will have to pay for the content.
