A Spore Nerd Corner

So this is the end of StarCraft, Blizzard announced. OK so maybe not the end, end but with this last expansion, Legacy of the Void, will be the end of this StarCraft story, but the universe will persist. "StarCraft will live on as a universe. We hope to explore some other aspects of the universe, but the storyline that was setup in StarCraft I and continued in StarCraft II will resolve in Legacy of the Void. All of those main characters will reach a nice satisfying conclusion." So while we'll be sad to see Raynor, Kerrigan, and Zeratul  go, we can look forward to seeing what's next for the amazing Starcraft galaxy.  Before that though we still have one last blast with this upcoming expansion. Blizzard announced that closed beta invites will start on March 31.  I know I'm going to have to replay my way threw StarCraft 2 before the next expansion hits.

I've been slowly puttering my way threw the first expansion to StarCraft 2, Heart of the Swarm. I probably could have beaten it faster, but it's not often something comes out that I've been looking forward to as much as this expansion and I wanted to savor it. While the first StarCraft 2 game focused on the terran race. More specificlly Jim Raynor and his quest to save Kerrigan and stop the Dominion. That's a super abridged version, I'm trying not to give away anything in case you've made the horrible mistake of not playing yet. Anyway Heart of the Swarm focuses on the Zerg race and Kerrigan. The story for Heart of the Swarm was great. I kept me interested the entire way threw. I never felt like things were dragging or that their was was just filler. My only complaint would be that it was relatively short. I managed to take about a week to beat this but if I would have just sat down and played it would have been done way sooner. So for all of us Starcraft fans, prepare to wet your pants with excitement! Blizzard has launched the opening cinematic for Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm! If you want to check it out just click right here . Heart of the Swarm is the first expansion to the super fun RTS Starcraft 2. You will be Sarah Kerrigan. No longer with Queen of Blades you are stuck in a cell in some high-security research lab. Your job is to make your escape and take back what is yours. Heart of the Swarm along with continuing the story we have all grown to love, will add new units for the Terran, Protoss and Zerg. You'll be able to pick up Heart of the Swarm March 12, 2013.
