So like an idiot the patch was released and I danced a jig of glee and made my way to the Darkmoon Faire, at least that was the plan. I'm glad to say I'm not the only one that flew around Thunder Bluff looking for the port in, a lot of others were right behind me. Darkmoon Faire that was released in 4.3 will not be opened until December 4 , at least that's what the calender says. If you have any other info please let me know and I'll change what I said. That's right the time we've all been waiting for the mystical, magical, 4.3 patch will be launching tomorrow, I dance a jig of glee. I started to play WoW just before Burning Crusade was release, just to give a point of reference. I recently decided to start another alt, I get the craving every couple of months. This time I made an Orc warlock. I've only ever had a little experience with locks back in the day.  I quickly wound up at level 10 even with no boa's, I bought my skills and went back to questing but had this feeling that something was missing. Eventually it all came to me.  Everything so far was just given to me. Flashback a couple expansions. In order to pick up the next summon, their was a quest. Yup a person had a story, his story included me completing a task for him and what would he do? Grant me the knowledge for this summon.  The whole experience made me feel more apart of the world around me and most of all, I had fun. Everything is now handed to us now. I'm a super Final Fantasy fan and while I think the series has lost its direction, I have been looking forward to final Fantasy Type-0. This one looks like more of an action rpg along the lines of Kingdom Hearts. Still no release date so we'll all just have to sit around drooling over the little scraps they choose to throw us. Also along the lines of Final Fantasy we have we have the re-release of  of Final Fantasy 5 and the all mythical Final Fantasy 6 on the Playstation Network, and Final Fantasy 13-2 will be released on both he PS3 and Xbox 360 January 31, 2012.

That's right the new WoW commercial is here for our enjoyment. When they got Mr. T to come out with his commercial the people cheered, so who could be next? So everybody is on the edge of their seat waiting for patch 4.3 to finally get released but it's still not here. I was really thought it would be here by now but hey I can't be right all the time. So by now you've run those pesky raids and TB is just a memory, what's left to do? Here's a list of things I've been up to. Finishing those extra professions. Fishing, first aid, archeology, cooking are all things that I was always planning on doing at some point and just never got around to it. Mount and Pet collecting. Their are tons of pet and mounts to collect all over the world.  Most of them take mind numbing amount of time and will having you beating your head against the keyboard to get but it's all worth it when that stranger comes up to you says " you must be crazy to go fishing for that long for a turtle." Gathering old raid gear. Since we are getting that transmogrification, now's the time to pick up all that super slick gear from days

So wondering around the internet thinking of who I really want to be in Skyrim (I'm addicted) and I come across this article on ign.com. Yup that's right PETA hates Mario. In the newest Mario game Mario can transform into a Tanooki. PETA saw the tanooki suit as telling kids it's alright to wear animals. PETA went so far as to make a website condemning this, including a little cartoon with a blood soaked Mario wearing the skin of a tanooki and holding it's removed face, and made a little game where a skinned tanooki chases Mario trying to get his skin back. PETA might have taken some time to think about all this though. Mario doesn't actually skin anything. He absorbs a super leaf which transforms him into tanooki Mario. He becomes one, he doesn't kill any.  This is just like when he would eat a super carrot back in the day and he would sprout bunny ears, he didn't go around cutting off the tails and ears of bunnies.

On November 6th the Steam service relised that the hacking the happened didn't just effect their forums but may have gotten into the actual steam client. While many people have guessed that the next Zelda game to put onto the 3ds would be Majora's Mask, creators of the series have said that they want to make a brand new game. Also Miyamao has said that he wants to remake A Link to the Past. As a Legend of Zelda fan I really don't care which one they put on there as long as we get another one. I've had a lot of fun playing Ocarina of Time for the first time and look forward to playing any others I can get my hands on. Also on the Playstation Network fan favorite Chrono Cross has been released for download. For the Final Fantasy fans out there, Final Fantasy 5 will be released on November 22 and the  super long awaited Final Fantasy 6 will be on the network on December 3. Final Fantasy 6 is thought to be the best Final Fantasy Game of all time, personally Final Fantasy 7 was my favorite. What do you think, do you have a favorite Final Fantasy game? Maybe I'm biased but I've been playing Elder Scroll games since way back in Morrowind and I've loved each and every one. This game is no different. Skyrim moves the Elder Scrolls world ahead since our last adventure in Oblivion 200 years. We are now far to the north in the land of Skyrim. The graphics are stunning , but only if you have the system of run them. I have a mediocre laptop to run it and even with everything running on it's lowest setting  I still experience random bouts of lag. A lot of people have recently been commenting about how WoW has been looking a little empty lately, and for a good reason too. Close to 2 million people have left the game. Is this a sign of the death of WoW?  After all those people left before the major content patch of 4.3 and after Blizzcons announcement of the next expansion pack Mists of Pandaria. Do people really hate pandas that much?   I personally don't think so. I really don't think all the people that have left will stay gone. I've always found it amazing how many people "quit" and a month later they are waiting for a FL run. Another reason people could be leaving is because they are tired of paying a monthly fee. WoW now has a lot of competition, not by content standards,WoW still rules the roost, but by the simple fact that their are so many free to play games now.  DC Universe , Lord of the Rings are two big examples that recently have gone free, and companies like Nexon , Perfect World , and GPo

So the day that we have all been waiting for is finally happening tomorrow, Skyrim launches. We finally get to find out if all the vids, pics, and articles that we've all main lined into our heads live up to our expectations. So what great things are we waiting for: Dragons , lots and lots of dragons. Dragons in the air, dragons on the ground and oh did I mention dragons. We get to roam the landing killing dragons collecting powers from them. I think this is every fan of Elder Scrolls dream. Duel wield. This is the first Elder scrolls game that you can duel wield not just two, one handed weapons but two spells as well. You can mix and match spell combinations to produce different effects. Or if you want keep that sword in hand and use the other to zap your enemies. Supposedly infinite quests. While the game does have a main story quest set and guild story quest set, I've read how quests will be randomly generated potentially giving the player an almost infinite set of

DC Universe online went free on the November 1st...kinda. The game didn't really run that day at all, but on the second day, well it didn't really run that day much either. The same with the third  or the fourth. OK so the game has been less than stable since it's free release, but we now know why. In a recent press release DC told us that the population has grown over 1000%! Holy jelly donuts Batman, I'm no longer annoyed with the long wait times to long in, the over crowded areas and the simple fact that a lot of the time you can't even long in. After all who would have expected that much growth in such a short time. They are actively patching and the game has become more stable and the servers are up more than they were, so with any luck they'll have their problems worked out soon. It also shows something else. Custom Search Tanks use shields! OK not all tanks use shields, druids and death knights don't and they can still tank just fine. However the idea of paladin or a warrior tanking without a shield is the same as thinking your a druid that can tank as a feral cat. Yes at low level dungeons it doesn't really matter. You can run the low level content without being the right spec or wearing the right gear, but as your progress threw the game it actually does matter. If you aren't going to gear right at the beginning who's to say you will by the end. How many times have you been in a ZA or ZG dungeon only have a tank that doesn't know what they're doing? Just the other day I was in a group with a paladin tank that was wearing  mail armor, a 2h weapon and with a holy spec and didn't understand why everybody left the group. Custom Search With the coming patch a new raid finder is going to be opened to the people. Yet all to often people don't understand the pug or their rolls in a dungeon. I hope to share my knowledge about the pug. Threw our time in any mmo we end up pugging eventually. The pug or pickup group puts our faith in a group in people you probably don't know, to beat that dungeon, raid, or quest that takes more than one person.  The group for example in WoW will consist of a tank, heals, and three dps. The tank ,  in my opinion has the hardest job. They usually are the unoffical leader of the group. Charging into combat first, getting groups of enemies attention and holding the attention can get very challenging especially if you haven't been in the dungeon or raid before, or your dps companions are pulling more aggro than they can handle. Custom Search WoW 4.3 patch is coming soon. Do you have your background download turned on? Oh but you should, even as we speak or rather I type I can see my background download going. Of course as with every major content patch it downloads in section. Right now 4.3 is complete to 95% and stalled so with any luck on with the weekly Tuesday update we'll be getting the 4.3 content. At least my figures are crossed. But I could be wrong, what do you think? Please share your opinions the world wants to know.

Finally DC Universe has gone free. Not that it means much they seem to be having a ton of problems with their servers. The games a lot of fun when it's running. You get to design your own hero or villain including not just the colors and costumes but also the weapons they use and powers they have. You get to choose between three forms of transportation, high speed, acrobatics and flying. You even get to meet your favorite DC heroes and villains. While the game is free you can buy the expansion, which gives you Green Lantern power and a couple other little things. You can also buy extra costume pieces. While I wouldn't go and pay the subscription fee for the game, now that it's free it's worth checking out and once they get everything working right, which shouldn't take long, I wont even mind spending the money on the expansion but I'm not doing that until the game is up and running better than it is now.

So by now we've already hear of the the new WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria and already people are freaking out. What does everybody have against the Pandas anyway? I think they look kinda neat so far. I remember before the Worgen came into the game everybody was freaking out about them too.  They were the end of Warcraft, people were saying and here we are, the craze that came with the Worgen is gone. They have worked nicely into the game and I haven't heard about any real world deaths because of it. And lets not forget about the great Death Knight scare, another thing that was going to destroy WoW. As for the Pandaren, people are talking as if they haven't been in any part of the WarCraft lore so far, but they were. Pandarens were first seen in the WarCraft 3 expansion. They've also been mentioned around WoW by npcs they speak about them more as myths than anything else.  If your a lore nut like me or just want to learn more about the new race you can check out WoW

OK! So for my first blog I thought I'd let everybody know what my goals are and then dive right on it. The plan is to review games, movies, books, comics and to give news on things that are upcoming.  I've found all to often that I don't agree with professional reviewers, and since all of the above mentioned things I always have an opinion about I figured I might as well share it. Review: Rage So many people had so many problems with this game. I've read everything from how they developers are liars and need to be fired to how this could be the very last game id will ever make. I'm not going to lie their were glitches and the game did crash a couple of times. The game wasn't that long, took me about 30 hours to beat but I stink at fps's most people took about half that, and without giving out spoilers, had probably one of the worst endings in video game history. The only real multi-player is with the cars, not that that's bad I'm having fun with
