mmMMMmmmm more news goodness.

So if you're anything like me you spent the day raging over the announcement that the new Tomb Raider game is only going to be on the Xbox. Well now all sorts of things are popping up all over the net, maybe exclusive doesn't really mean exclusive, but kinda exclusive. Like the kind of exclusive that means that Tomb Raider may be out on the other systems just after a period of time. At least that's the inference a lot of people are getting from what has been officially released. Who knows what's actually going on, I know I sure don't. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Diablo 3 is getting ready for it's next patch, 2.1.0, which I'm super excited for. Ever wonder been chasing that darn treasure goblin along, watch him open that darn portal, of course you manage to take him out before he escapes, but where does that portal go? In the upcoming patch we are finally going to get the chance to see. Every so often after you take the treasure goblin t...

Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Review

The first expansion of Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls has finally been launched, yay! The expansion has added: Act V The new playable class Crusader increases the level cap up to 70 added new spells and abilities to the the already existing character classes. Adds Adventure Mode I've had a lot of fun so far, the crusader plays a lot like a mixture of the WoW paladin and the Diablo 2 paladin, adventure mode is fun to just hop into if you don't want to have to run threw the story mode of the game. Really though it's all the same as before. If you love Diablo 3 then hey the expansion is going to be a lot of fun go out pick up and have some fun. If you didn't like Diablo 3 to begin with then this isn't going to change your opinion.

Reaper of Souls Release Date

The end of the year is quickly approaching and the gaming industry is pushing out news like it just took some kind of laxative. Blizzard has announced the release date for Reaper of Souls, the expansion to Diablo 3.  March 25 2014. The expansion is going to go for $39.99 for the Digital Standard Edition and $59.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Diablo 3 AH Removal

That's right one of the bigger things that was supposed to make Diablo 3 so amazing, the auction house along with the real money auction house, are going to be removed. Production director John Hight is quoted as saying: "...it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot."  With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that we've decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo III." The removal of the system is supposed to happen March 18, 2014. A new loot system is being developed along with the first expansion Reaper of Souls.

Blizzard Big News

So what's the big news for the company that has brought us games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo? The rumor floating around the net is the major news to be released at the upcoming Gamescom will be the first expansion for Diablo. Blizzard has just trademarked the title "The Dark Below" this is thought to be the title of the expansion. We know that that the big news is going to be about Diablo because co-founder Mike Morhaime said it was Diablo related on a earnings call earlier this month. The announcement is supposed to happen the first day of Gamescom, August 21. Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 21-25.

Diablo 1.0.7 Patch

It's time to jump back into the world Diablo 3 for those of us that just ran out of demon hunting steam. The latest patch has some really big new changes to suck us back in. With this patch we finally get some Diablo 3 PvP.  The patch opens up "The Scorched Chapel,"  that you can access by speaking to Nek the Brawler. So far the battles will consist of 2 to 4 players battling it out.  Blizzard hopes to get other pvp modes out in later patches but haven't let out any hints of what those modes will be.  PvP is finally here after being promised to us since before the release along with an auction house that they got working late last year. Other big changes with this patch will come for the Wizard and the Monk. Both the monk and Wizard will get a huge increase in damage, almost doubling the amount of damage done by most skills. For a full list of all the changes for this massive patch check out the offical Diablo 3 patch notes by clicking  here.   ...

More Diablo PvP delays.

Hey everybody, hope you had a great Christmas or what ever you celebrate. For those of us who have been waiting for the PvP content for Diablo 3, we're in for surprise... OK not so much. They've pushed it back......... again. PvP was part of the content that was supposed to come with the launch of Diablo 3, but Blizzard said it came with too many bugs and they didn't want to give the consumer something that isn't any good. I can go for that, I don't want to play something that doesn't work. Now however the PvP has been pushed back again because of a lack of depth. Game director Jay Wilson posted on the Diablo 3 site that "team deathmatch has been indefinitely tabled." "For us it comes to a few issues, one of which is depth.  Simply fighting each other with no other objectives or choices to make gets old relatively quickly.  We've brought a lot of people in to try out Team Deathmatch and, while some found it entertaining, most of our...

Diablo 3 Stat Guide

Diablo 3 Stat Guide So I know when I started playing I was a bit lost on which stats would help which character. Of course it's easy to guess guess that intelligence is going to be good for the Wizards, and  strength is going to be good for a Barbarians, wouldn't vitality help everybody? And what about Dexterity? Here's a quick guide to that the stat system of Diablo 3. Strength : Raises damage for Barbarians and Armor for all classes. Dexterity : Raises damage for Monks and Demon Hunters and increases Dodge Chance for all classes. Intelligence : Raises damage for Witch Doctors and Wizards and increases resistance for all classes. Vitality : Raises how much life your character has for all classes. Armor : Cuts down on damage taken Damage : How much damage your character can do. So in some way or another each of the stats help. You'll just want to go out of your way to stack your characters main stat, usually followed by vitality. Hope that helps every...

Diablo 3 review!

Lots of flash not do much bang! I've been looking forward to Diablo 3 now for what seems like years. I've played since the original and have relived every second of the series, well almost every second of the series. The game it's self has a great story that keeps you tied to your seat until the very end and maybe that's the problem. The story is great, well told, compelling. Explaining things from the other games as to not leave the new players in the dark. It has plenty of twists and turns leaving people guessing what's going to happen next. Not to mention breath taking cinematics that is until you beat the game. With everything that has happened so far you expect some super amazing, wet your pants spectacular ending, and it simply doesn't happen. It almost feels like the developers got to the end of the game, couldn't decided what to do and just said screw this I'm done the end, leaving all of us dumbfounded and wanting. Major characters are j...

Diablo 3 Launch Adventure!

That wasn't pretty... So like many people I rushed out and bought Diablo 3 sped home and started the long boring task of installing the game. I unlike what seems like a lot of the others that bought the game actually got the chance to play. Of course that was for only an hour and the servers were down. The entire night the servers were up and down, mostly down leaving the gaming public salivating for the chance to destroy the lords of evil. So was it worth it? I've manged to pummel my way threw about half the game with my monk and have fallen in love. Diablo 3 has a compelling story, tons of weapons, armor, and skills to gather up. The graphics are top notch and the new auction house gives players a way to earn some extra money. People have given the game some bad reviews due to the fact of all the technical problems on launch day, and the fact that the real money section off the auction house wont be up until the 22 of the this month. The simple fact is that if you'v...

Baldur's Gate, Diablo 3 and Mass Effect 3

So it's been a big day in the gaming world with some great news that everybody can dance a jig of glee about. Baldur's Gate Remix First is that Atari, Wizards of the Coast, and Overhaul Games have announced they are in the process of making enhanced editions of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2. Now for the young this might not mean much but for those of us that have been playing games for awhile this is epic news. The Baldur's gate games were some of the best RPG gaming ever created. Baldur's Gate was release in 1998, in a dungeons and dragons setting you took the role of a character out to find why and who was after you. Along the way you completed quests, befriended companions that you ended up growing close to, all across dozens of maps. This game was as close to an open world as you were getting back then. I can't wait to see what comes of these enhancement editions of the game. If you want more information you can visit the official site here . Di...

So everybody has been waiting for the release date to diablo 3 to finally be released to us. Recently bestbuy leaked a poster for diablo 3 saying the release date wad going to be February 1, but we soon found out that it was wrong and the blizzard fanbase sighed in disgust. BUT while I was down at the local GameStop I found out that originally that February 1 was the original date of release and that the new date is March 2! So we can all officially start holding our breath, replaying the past games in preparation and dancing our jigs of glee. Lets just hope this is the right date.
