Fallout 4 Release Date

Last night was the Bethesda E3 show. I manged to drool my way threw the entire event. Who couldn't with video of the new Doom game, Dishonored 2, and the super amazingness that is Fallout 4. All the games looked amazing but my favorite by far was Fallout 4. The character creation looked more in-depth than anything I've ever seen before. You actually seem to sculpt each part of your characters face individually.  It looked as though most of the world can be torn down  into crafting materials, letting you put them back together as many different items. Everything from weapons and armor, to housing and turrets to defend it. The world looks huge, I just hope it's all as explorable and deep as games like Skyrim. Best of all Fallout 4 will launch 11-10-2015. That's right this year.

Hyrule Warriors 3DS

Hyrule Warriors, the Dynasty Warriors like game staring the cast of the Legend of Zelda games, is coming to the 3DS.  You can check out the trailer, here. Hyrule Warriors was originally launched on the Wii U last September.

Fallout 4!

War....War never changes. OOOOOHHHHHH Yeah! So if you're anything like me you saw that timer on the fallout 4 site counting down and you danced a little jig of glee. Well, I didn't actually dance but you get the idea. Fallout 4! Early this morning the timer on the Fallout 4 website finished it's epic count down and we got our first peek into what the latest installment into the game franchise will be. You can check it out at fallout4.com . Fallout 4 will be launched on XboxOne, PS4, and PC. Also in yummy Fallout news, their will be a E3 reveal this June 14th. Also they are expected to show off a new Doom game.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Coming to Steam

Final Fantasy Type-0 is officially coming to Steam. Originally this was just a rumor from MSI but Square Enix has confirmed it threw Twitter. Type-0  was originally meant to be a PSP title, but was moved over to the PS4. No official date yet but with any luck it will be soon. My big wish is that all the Final Fantasy games, XV in particular , end up on steam. That way I have no reason to pick up a PS4.

Wildstar goes F2P

Another MMO is going free to play. That's right recently the makers of WildStar have announced it's going free to play. I don't know if it's just going completely free and just charging people for the extras in-game or if you'll still have to buy the game but they are getting rid of the monthly fee. Really you didn't need to pay a monthly fee, I know I didn't for the short time I played the game. All you had to do was buy (with in-game money) the special tokens that would let you in-turn buy game time. That's right, it's the system that WoW picked up, which kinda makes me wonder if WoW is going to be going free sometime in the future. hmmmmm. Anyway Wildstar is supposed to be going free this fall.  So if you haven't played or like me got tired of playing, this fall might be a good time to hop back into the game.

Mad Max Fury Road review

I didn't go to see Mad Max expecting a lot. I didn't expect to see some epic plot, or get to know some deep characters. I wasn't expecting to have my world changed from this movie. What I did expect though was insane, over the top driving and action. And I got just that. I really don't think their was more than a page or two of conversation during the whole movie. I can't remember the names of most of the character but I can remember the completely over the top adrenalin pumping car chases, the crazy costumes, and the endless fire being shot all over, well all over everything. To put it simply, I loved it. GO SEE THIS MOVIE, it was fun and not enough movies are around for just that anymore, Fun.

Yar Me Matey!

Finally something I've been saying is missing from the WoW world is going to be added, ocean combat! In the 6.2 version of the PTR you are now able to add shipyards to your garrison allowing your followers to do new sea missions. OK so we don't get to sail the boat around or anything but it's better than nothing. The shipyard is also supposed to unlock a new zone, The Invasion of Tanaan Jungle. That's supposed to give us "open-world questing" with new rare monsters and treasures scattered around. It's also where the new raid, Hellfire Citadel, is going to be located. HFC is supposed to have 13 bosses. If all that's not enough we'll also be getting the conclusion to the legendary ring quest line, some tweaks to our characters classes, more achievements and a mythic difficulty for dungeons.  If you want a full list of everything that's going to be happening here's a link , to the official sites patch notes.

New Deus Ex

I lvoed the last Deus Ex game and a new one has finally be announced. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided doesn't have a release date yet but you can check out a trailer for it at: http://www.ign.com/videos/2015/04/08/deus-ex-mankind-divided-announcement-trailer They also have a picture of the new cover. Mankind Divided will also have an app for you to download.  The app is supposed to allow you to unlock videos, audio clips, comics, and screenshots, giving you information on the lore, design, and characters.

Do Superheroes movies hurt Hollywood?

Superheroes, hurt, Hollywood..... I don't think so. I was reading on an article about how some people actually think that superhero movies are hurting Hollywood, that's a big no. I can tell you what hurts Hollywood and it's the same thing that has hurt it from the beginning, greed. It doesn't matter what movies Hollywood wants to make as long as they are willing to put the time, and resources into it. The problem for any type of movie comes when the studio gets more interested in how fast and cheap they can put something out instead of how good the movie is. If the story sucks, the special effects suck, and the acting is a joke quickly people are going to want to stop seeing your movies. Of course the makers of those movies just claim that it's because people don't want to see those kind of movies anymore and for awhile they stop until somebody else manages to convince a studio to make one again and the cycle starts all over. The moral of the story is make a g

Pillars of Eternity First Impressions

Pillars of Eternity (PoE) has to be some of the most fun I've had in awhile. PoE screams of D&D and the old Baldur's Gate games. I haven't seen games made in this style for so long now it's nice to see what is hopefully a comeback. The character creator had a ton of options to pick from. It took me forever to make up my mind on what I wanted to play as. While a lot of games give you character options that don't actually effect the game, in PoE I've started two characters and both have had slight changes in the conversations and actions I can take. The combat can be changed from a more active combat, where you jump from character to character making the game more hectic and difficult. Or you can go more old school, being able to pause and unpause as is needed giving you more control over what's going on. I can't tell you how much fun I've been having with this game so far and I can't wait to get further into it. If you like old school RP

What makes a gamer hardcore?

I was just reading a review of Bloodborne that wasn't all that positive and people said he hated it because he just wasn't hardcore. He's just a casual gamer that should go back to playing candy crush. I haven't played Bloodborne, but if I don't like it does that make me a casual gamer? Does it even matter if somebody is a casual gamer? We shouldn't be so fast to judge people. It doesn't matter how much you spend, or what you play. It doesn't matter if you spend the day battling monsters in Bloodborne or all night raiding in WoW. All that really matters is that you love playing games.

Elder Scroll Online Hmmmm

Are you playing Elder Scroll Online? Well you should be. Yeah I know, I didn't think it was going to be any fun at all and at first I wasn't all that impressed but slowly that's changing. I've been a huge Elder Scroll fan since Morrowind, and when mmo hit everybody put it down so I figured it would be F2P in a year, or just dead, so I stopped paying attention. Then they announced it was going to go B2P, kind of a newer concept, and I figured why what the heck. You really can't get something for nothing. So no it's not Elder Scrolls, well it is but it isn't. If you go in expecting to play a copy of Skyrim you aren't going to be happy, and on launch their was a ton of bugs, and bots. Lets be on honest I don't think the game was completely thought threw when it was launched the first time. But this re-release, and that's what it really is, is actually a ton of fun. I haven't run into any bugs, or bots so far and I haven't seen anybody ju

So this is the end.

So this is the end of StarCraft, Blizzard announced. OK so maybe not the end, end but with this last expansion, Legacy of the Void, will be the end of this StarCraft story, but the universe will persist. "StarCraft will live on as a universe. We hope to explore some other aspects of the universe, but the storyline that was setup in StarCraft I and continued in StarCraft II will resolve in Legacy of the Void. All of those main characters will reach a nice satisfying conclusion." So while we'll be sad to see Raynor, Kerrigan, and Zeratul  go, we can look forward to seeing what's next for the amazing Starcraft galaxy.  Before that though we still have one last blast with this upcoming expansion. Blizzard announced that closed beta invites will start on March 31.  I know I'm going to have to replay my way threw StarCraft 2 before the next expansion hits.

Metal Gear Release Date

The release date for the new Metal Gear Solid game was recently released. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be release worldwide September 5 2015. You'll be able to pick it up for Xbox One, Xbox, Ps4, Ps3 and the PC.

The WoW Token

One of the big things WildStar did right was it's billing.  You could just pay a subscrition, you could go out and get game time cards (good luck finding any), or you could use in-game money to buy another form of money that could actually buy game time. Really I never bought any WildStar time, I just used the free trial time, then bought the rest with the in-game money. Now flash over to World of Warcraft. They've decided to do basically the same thing! Feel free to cheer, I know did. You'll be able to buy and sell WoW tokens threw the in-game store. The WoW token will give you 30 days of time and can only be sold once. So how much will this magical token cost? All pricing is still up in the air. In-game the price will be dynamic according to supply and demand. I think this is a great change. If you don't want to pay the sub but you spend tons of time playing the game, hopefully, it'll be easy to just use your gold in game to buy time. If you need gold, again h

Leonard Nemoy Passes Away

Today on February 27, Leonard Nemoy passed away. Nemoy was 83 years old and passed from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. While most of us remember him from his role as Spock on the Star Trek, Nemoy had major roles in many shows including Gunsmoke and Mission: Impossible. Mission: Impossible being my favorite.  Leonard Nemoy will be greatly missed.

WoW Robo Roosters!

Yes live in fear of my evil Robo-Rooster army of doom! I thought it was kinda funny.

GTA Pushed Back.... Again

Oh boy later this week Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to my PC.... Or not. That's right GTA fans it's been pushed back, again. This time it's been moved to April 14th. In order to make up for the push to the players that preordered they are going to give them another $200,000, in, ingame money. But why did it get pushed back again? I guess it needs "more polish." On a happier note, March 10th Online Heists will be launched for all the systems that can play GTA 5.

WoW 6.1 Patch Release

Oh that's right and the crowd goes wild! Or at least I sure do. The new World of Warcraft Patch, 6.1 comes February 24th! Along with the standard character, dungeon, and raid tweaks this patch is bringing a whole load of new stuff not least of these is the new blood elf models and heirloom collection tab (about time), racing in the darkmoon faire, but also new options for people that are colorblind, new anti-aliasing and lighting. Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my face. So I knew I'm going to be starting a new toon, bloodelf for sure, probably a lock. Are you as excited as I am? Let me know.

WoW Lunar Festival and it's New Stuff!

So if you're like me and sit back while the World of Warcraft holidays come and go since you've experienced them so any times. You'll be excited that Blizzard has decided to add some new stuff to the Lunar Festival. So what is this new stuff? New toys, such as Elune's Lantern, Everlasting Alliance Firework, and Everlasting Horde Fireworks. I guess the Fireworks were around just before the MoP launch, so yay they're back. Also you'll be able to give you Perky Pug a firework threw the Perky Blaster. Engineers will get three new firework schematics, Schematic: Alliance Firework, Schematic: Snake Firework, and the Schematic: Horde Firework. So if you haven't don the Lunar Festival or you just want get some new stuff, and who doesn't like new stuff, the festival lasts from February 16 to March 2. Enjoy.

Stewart Leaving The Daily Show..

Jon Stewart is leaving The Daily Show sometime later this year and I think a little part of me just died inside. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is probably the only reason I started watching the news, and not just one liberal news channel, but every news channel.  After all the jokes are funnier when you actually know who he's talking about. Jon Stewart and the other anchors have brought me endless hours of laughter since 1999 and made me think about everything going on around me. I don't know if the show will be ending as well, or if they have somebody else to take over for him but I know it's never going to be the same.

Borderlands Pre-Sequel New DLC

The next DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, has been announced. Lady Hammerlock the Baroness, will let you play as the new toon, Lady Hammerlock. Of course that name should sound familiar, she's the mean older sister of Sir Hammerlock. Her skill trees are Huntress, Cold Money and Contractual Aristocracy. Huntress is all about her sniping skills. Cold Money is about cryo damage. Contractual Aristocracy seems to be more about multiplayer, where you turn your friend into a servant, each of you giving each other bonuses. This DLC is part of the season pass if you have it, if you don't it's gonna cost you $9.99 and will be able to download on January 27. I wasn't a huge fan of the Pre-Sequel, and don't have any of the other DLC.  A hint was made about a Borderlands 3, so fingers crossed that will be good.

Guild Wars 2 First Expansion

Guild Wars 2 has announced it's first expansion at PAX, Heart of Thorns.  The expansion is supposed to include a new Mastery System, a new specialization system, a new Profession, Guild Halls, a new Stronghold PvP game mode and a new Borderland WvW. Specializations sound like they will be almost a sub-class. An example I've heard is Rangers will be able to learn abilities of the Druid, giving them some kind of new healing skill and the use of the staff weapons along with some other abilities. The Mastery system is supposed to be account based, where you get points for completing parts of the story, exploring the map, completing challenges, and taking out super creatures. For completing one those you'll get mastery points that let you buy special abilities. I guess their is a hang gliding ability that will let you finish the exploration and give you the ability to get to secret places. Another ability will let you get special crafting items easier. What I'm lookin

Elder Scrolls Online drops subs!

As if nobody saw this one coming, Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will be dropping it's subscription fees. The game from that point will be called The Elder Scrolls: Tamriel Unlimited.  It's not going to be completely free to play though, you're going to still have to buy the actual game. Buying the game will give you open access to all the already released content.  For those that are hardcore fans and have an urge to pay a sub you'll still be able to. The subs will be for 30, 90, 180 day durations which will give access to all the game-packs that have "optional content." Once the sub fee runs out you wont be able to access to content anymore. You'll also get "character progression bonuses, and crowns (an in-game currency). Bethesda has said they will give out more information on January 21 on their Twitch stream. Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is set to launch March 17.

Nightly Show debut first thoughts

Last night The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore debuted. I always found Larry Wilmore funny while he was on The Daily Show and I'm used to being able to tune in at this time slot and find something funny, since it just so happens to be where The Colbert Report used to be. Maybe that's why the show just didn't wasn't that great for me, I've set the bar to high?  Colbert used to be one of my favorite shows. I knew if I tuned in I was going to get a good half an hour of funny, social commentary. Last night The Nightly Show just didn't do it for me. It had funny moments, but instead of finding a funny show I found the occasional funny one moment. It was only a first show though and it's hard to judge any show by just that. It always takes a little while for a new show to get on a roll. I would give the show another chance. It had it's funny moments and hopefully those will grow as the show moves along.

H1Z1 and What is P2W

Recently H1Z1 was released, well not really released. The early accessed was released but that's a different story. Anyway people are angry because the developer made a big deal about the game not being P2W (pay to win), but some of the players aren't seeing it that way. In H1Z1 you are able to pay real money to call in an air drop. The air drop summons a plane to fly over that will drop a crate that will hold some items and summon zombies. Their has to be at lease 100 other players around to do the air drop and any of them can steal it from you. So what is pay to win? Pay to win is when you can spend real money to pick up bigger better items that you either wouldn't be able to get normally or you could get but would take forever to get. It's a guaranteed thing that will make things super easy for the player spending the money. The practice happens more often than not in free to play games, so they really aren't all that free, but can also happen in games with s

3DS XL News!

Just when I started to wonder when the new 3DS XL was going to finally launch here in the U.S., just like magic Poof, it appears. Recently an advirtising poster has appeared showing that our launch date for the new 3DS will be February 13. Nintendo hasn't confirmed or denied the poster as being real, or accurate but it made me happy and I don't want to burst that bubble. With Nintendo Direct happening tomorrow with any luck at all we will find out if it's accurate.

GTA 5 pushed back again!

That's right GTA 5 has been pushed back again, this time until March 24th. Is it a big deal? Do we even care anymore? A lot of people don't seem to mind, after all they are pushing it back again to put that little bit of polish on it so we aren't getting that bug ridden piece of junk that seems to plague all to many game lately. I think that's a very nice way to think about it, but how many times can something be pushed back and how far before we start to worry? Maybe I'm just a negative person but after this long I'm starting to wonder, does this game have some kind of epic problems they just can't fix! I guess we wont really know until it finally does launch and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's good, but with everything that we went threw last year with bugs I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Agent Carter First Impressions

The other night the first two episodes of Agent Carter premiered. The story takes place a couple year after the Captain America movie. Agent Carter is stuck in a desk job where she is treated more like a glorified secretary than super spy that she is. I enjoyed the story a lot! I thought the pace was good considering that they had to reintroduce Agent Carter along with the rest of the cast. You can't exactly dive right in. I thought all the costumes, sets, even the music was amazing and fit perfectly for the time period. The acting was well done I didn't feel like anybody was treating it like they were in some kind of hokey comic book T.V. show. A lot of people seemed to think the show was slow, but like I said before I always expect first episodes to be a little slower than the regular show will be, simply because they have to set everything up for the rest of the series, but I didn't think this one was very slow at all. I thought the second episodes moved a lot faster

Dragon Age Inquisition Opening Review

I am not loving Dragon Age Inquisition as much as I had hoped I would. It's not a bad game, it just feels like for everything they put into the game, they didn't finish with it or completely think it threw. So before you read my thoughts on the game, I'm only 30 hours in. If things get better I'll let you know but so far this is what I'm thinking. Pros: The character creator is back. It's so much fun, I think I spent a couple hours making my toon. Lots of side quests Very nice graphics you get a mounts Cons: Character combat management. More often than not my party randomly runs off and gets me in trouble and almost never does what I want them to. Dinky Maps. All but one of the maps is so small. The one large map is nice a big, but all the others are just small.  You never feel like their is any point to having the mounts I never fee like I'm being rewarded for anything. Kill a major boss, here's a dagger that was good three levels ago....
