Skyrim Tips Part 1

I've been an Elder Scroll fan since Morrowind was released back in the day. There's something about the giant open world where anything is possible that just pulls me in and makes me go on. In most games once the main story is over I just slowly stop playing but the Elder Scroll games have so much to do and such an engrossing world that I always find myself unable to stop playing. But that same massive open world can be slightly intimidating for some. So I've decided to give some tips for the latest installment of the Elder Scroll franchise, Skyrim. Save early and save often. F5 is the quick save, use it. Read Everything. Knowledge is power and you need all you can get. Choose a play style that works for you. Magic, hack and slash, sneaking it all works. If one style isn't working for an enemy, try another one. If your health, magic, or stamina are low, rest. Press T to rest. Look for Oil on the floor, fire will light it up and take out enemies. Their is a wagon...

Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC info

For all of us that have loved Skyrim we can start getting ready for the next DLC, Dragonborn.  Dragonborn will take us to Morrowind, the setting of Elder Scrolls 3 and the hope of Dark Elves. We will continue our role as the Dragonborn, but now we are on the hunt for the first Dragonborn. The new setting will take us away from the bright more cheery lands of Skyrim, and put us into a darker, bleak land of Morrowind. We will get new shouts, including one that will let us tame dragons. Also we will see new dungeons and travel to the Daedric realm and learn new dark powers. Skyrim: Dragonborn will be available December 4th on Xbox 360, and only the Shadow knows when we will see it anywhere else. You can check out the official trailer on youtube by click right here .

The Great Week of Patches

So the great week of patches has come and gone with both ups and downs. The first WoW came out with the long awaited 4.3 patch. The patch included transmogrification, void storage, a raid finder, 3 new 5-man dungeons, new raid content including the defeat of Deathwing, and last but not least The Darkmoon Faire. The new 5-mans I thought were a blast and I've enjoyed them a lot more than the Zul dungeons. I haven't had a chance to use the raid finder or run the new raids because of my lack of gear but should be able to by the end of the week, not that I'm very good at the entire world of raiding but oh well, right. As for the Darkmoon Faire I've had a lot of fun running around playing all the little mini games. It's also a great place to level everything every profession you can think of. There have been some problems however. I made a warlock for giggles and can't delete him, it tells me that he has a heirloom or important item on him even though his mailbox, i...

Skyrim Review

Maybe I'm biased but I've been playing Elder Scroll games since way back in Morrowind and I've loved each and every one. This game is no different. Skyrim moves the Elder Scrolls world ahead since our last adventure in Oblivion 200 years. We are now far to the north in the land of Skyrim. The graphics are stunning , but only if you have the system of run them. I have a mediocre laptop to run it and even with everything running on it's lowest setting  I still experience random bouts of lag. I'm not sure about this because I can run Rage and Deus Ex without any problems at all.  Just incase somebody has ideas on how this might be stopped my system specs are : Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo CPU  2.53GHz 2.53GHz 6GB Ram GeForce GTX 260M Still the first time a dragon lands in front of you, you can almost feel the fire blowing over the top you. The combat has changed since that last game as well. You can now assign a weapon to each hand or a spe...

Skyrim Launches Tomorrow!

So the day that we have all been waiting for is finally happening tomorrow, Skyrim launches. We finally get to find out if all the vids, pics, and articles that we've all main lined into our heads live up to our expectations. So what great things are we waiting for: Dragons , lots and lots of dragons. Dragons in the air, dragons on the ground and oh did I mention dragons. We get to roam the landing killing dragons collecting powers from them. I think this is every fan of Elder Scrolls dream. Duel wield. This is the first Elder scrolls game that you can duel wield not just two, one handed weapons but two spells as well. You can mix and match spell combinations to produce different effects. Or if you want keep that sword in hand and use the other to zap your enemies. Supposedly infinite quests. While the game does have a main story quest set and guild story quest set, I've read how quests will be randomly generated potentially giving the player an almost infinite set of ...
