WoW Patch Next Week!

Oh happy days! That's right, next week on the 14th the next patch for WoW is going up. Why am I so excited you ask? This patch is going to feature the new content, leading up to the invasion of the Iron Horde, not to mention updates to skills and abilities for each of the classes, but really it's the new content that has me dancing around like an idiot. If you want to hear the whole story behind what's happening, you can check it out on the official WoW website at here . It's actually a fun little read and I know it got me excited for the new content.

Warlords release date!

Just a second ago I finished watching the live event for the next expansion of World of Warcraft, Warlords of Dreanor and it was amazing! The entire new expansion, everything from the new models and zones, the new dungeons and raids, and new pvp content is crazy.  Being able to build your own garrison is going to be a blast. Really everything looks amazing, especially for somebody like me who is a lore fiend and has been playing since Orcs and Humans. I can't help but do a little dance around the living room. But what you really want to know is the release date, NOVEMBER 13 THIS YEAR! now you know, mark your calenders, plan to be sick that day.

WoW: Warlords Pre-Order bonus items

Blizzard has finally let out the new for what we will get with the pre-order to the next expansion to World of Warcraft, Warlords of Draenor. The bonus will include a pet, a mount and an instant level raise to 90.  You'll get the bonus with both the Digital Deluxe version or the Standard version of the expansion. People are still arguing if the instant raise to level 90 is a good idea or not. Blizzard is saying it will give people experience with a new toon at higher levels before they go straight into the new content without making them grind from level one. Other people argue that players will jump to higher levels with a class they don't understand making it near impossible to run instances, after all how do you tank a level 90 instance if you've only just barely played your character. The closed beta is supposed to start "soon," so if you can't wait for the official release make sure to sign up now.

Warlords of Draenor Inventory Improvements

Warlords of Draenor Inventory Improvements That's right, we've all been there. It seems that no matter how big your bags are, they're never big enough.  Between PvE gear, PvP gear, all those toys you've found while wondering around, heirlooms, and everything you've picked up for your professions you're bags are full and just then you find some abstract item you've been hunting for, for the last five years. But with the next expansion Blizzard has saved us from our woes. Collections have been added for your Heirlooms and Toys. This makes it's only little menu for each of the collections, making everything truely account bound and easier to move them from toon to toon without having to mail them. Quest items will no long take up space in your inventory but are being moved into a special Quest space. Bags can be set to only carry some items, armor, consumables, and so on so you don't have to keep hunting threw each bag to find something. You...

WoW 5.4 release date

Blizzard has told us the official release date for the 5.4 World of Warcraft is going to be  September 10th! So if you're anything like me and been looking forward to raiding Org and taking out Garrosh mark your calenders.

WoW skill trees, and what they do.

Warlocks The Warlock has 3 different skills trees. Affliction, Demonology, and Destruction. The three skill trees: Affliction: Basically DoT damage and right now the highest warlock damage output. While slowly taking your opponent things like soul siphon, life siphon and deaths embrace help keep you up and running. Demonology:  Boosts your demons damage and gives you the Metamorphosis ability. Great for soloing and your best best bet for surviving when everything is going wrong around you. Destruction: Direct-damage. What you choose if you like fire. Spells like Chaos Bolt help provide you're highest nuke damage. For when you need damage now and can't wait around and wait for DoTs to take your opponent out.

WoW 5.2 PTR Notes!

WoW addicts rejoice! wowhead.com has published 5.2 patch notes that are up on the public test realm. So what can we get excited for? Well i'm not going to list everything if you want to know a full list go here . Some of the neater stuff I noticed goes as follows. First a new raid will be opening up, Throne of Thunder. Also rogues will get 3 new abilities, along with monks getting two more. Their will be 3 more mounts to collect along with another 3 more companions. Heirloom gear will now be good until level 85, although I think heirloom gear takes away from the fun of the game. Some of the glyphs will be reworked. The last big thing I saw was the slick new Tier 15 armor, something you really should take a look at. Of course this is all just up on the PTR and nothing is set in stone. Really like the new caster armors, but the new paladin armor doesn't look as good.

Mists of Pandaria Review.

What has seemed to be one of the most controversial and down right worried about expansions is finally here. That's right Blizzard has finally released Mists of Pandaria. The Mists of Pandaria expansion gave us the monk class, which can play as healer, dps and tank. Along with it the level cap has been increased to 90, we have a new land to explore, more mounts, and dungeons. Really it's your standard WoW expansion. Each one has added to the world and given us a little more to explore and do. This actually has to be one my favorite expansion yet. The new land feels so much different than other lands we've traveled too. Even some of the creatures that roam the land are different than other creatures we've seen in the past.  The story so fun and keeps you interested as you go. While Cataclysm had you visiting different lands all over the world, Mists of Pandaria goes back to the formula of an entire new land to explore. You won't be able to just fly around this ne...

Gaming, Laziness, and why you're Bored!

I was just reading about the new profession stuff  for the the next WoW expansion and got excited. New things to farm, new items to craft and all that on top of a brand new world to explore. Then I read some of the posts after and people were complaining about having to farm new mats, and that brings me to this post and the state of gaming today. Laziness, their is no other way to put. People used to take pride in the fact that they were playing the game. They would actually do the quests, and not for some little achievement but for the gear, the money or the story the quest provided. We used to farm materials and while it got frustrating at times we all knew we were going to get something pretty cool from it, a sword or a gem that gave us better stats or just looked neat. But now it seems like less and less people want to do any of that. They want everything handed to them, or they want to sit around a town while they wait for the in game group finder, finds them a group to run ...

Breaking up with the Alliance

Hi alliance, you're looking good. You've always had beautiful towns and rich lore. We've had some great times together but I have to love on. I know we've been together since back in the day of the Strategy games. Sure we lost the first war but we came back and took back Stormwind. Our first WoW toon was a Human Paladin. But I have to tell you, I've been seeing someone else. I've grown attached to my Tauren Shaman. We run dungeons and have even been raiding together... Successfully. I know they aren't that great in battlegrounds and couldn't win Tol'Barad if we gave it to them, but pvp isn't everything. It's nice to get the fancy raiding gear. You're still nice to have around Alliance but I think I've just grown out of you. I mean really not being able to complete a ZB or ZG run by now? And you're trade chat? I know the horde can talk about some odd stuff, but not even close what junk I've been reading in yours. I just nee...

WoW Priest alt, you help make the choices

Last night with the super amazing find a raid tool I defeated Deathwing, after the cheers and dancing around and the grim realization that this is the only way I'm ever going to be able to beat him him, I've decided to start yet another alt.  This time a human Priest, I thought the spirit bonus would help out. I wont be using any Boa's, since I've decided to boycott them. So after a little bit of play I've come to the first set of great decisions.  Professions and Talent tree. the choices are for you that don't know: Shadow: Strictly Dps  Holy: Healing, lots and lots of healing. Discipline: Usually what people call Disc. This class can heal and dps, but while Holy is all about healing damage that has been done, Disc is more about preventing the damage from ever being done.  So what do you think would be a good set of choices?

Mass wow bans or I fought the lawand the law won

WoW ends up banning in some cases entire guilds! Why you ask? After the recent patch some guilds were found to have used an exploit that allowed them to farm the latest tier of gear from the raids threw the aid finder tool. Rather than doing the right thing and letting Blizzard know what was going on they decided to just run with. Many of these people woke to find an email from Blizzard with a short term ban on their accounts and all the gear the ill gotten gear gone. This is going to have. A major effect on the latest guild rankings. Now what did we learn from this class? Cheaters never prosper, at least not on an mmo. Do you think Blizzard did the right thing? Of course let me know what you think, the world wants to know.

The Great Week of Patches

So the great week of patches has come and gone with both ups and downs. The first WoW came out with the long awaited 4.3 patch. The patch included transmogrification, void storage, a raid finder, 3 new 5-man dungeons, new raid content including the defeat of Deathwing, and last but not least The Darkmoon Faire. The new 5-mans I thought were a blast and I've enjoyed them a lot more than the Zul dungeons. I haven't had a chance to use the raid finder or run the new raids because of my lack of gear but should be able to by the end of the week, not that I'm very good at the entire world of raiding but oh well, right. As for the Darkmoon Faire I've had a lot of fun running around playing all the little mini games. It's also a great place to level everything every profession you can think of. There have been some problems however. I made a warlock for giggles and can't delete him, it tells me that he has a heirloom or important item on him even though his mailbox, i...

Darkmoon Faire where are you?

So like an idiot the patch was released and I danced a jig of glee and made my way to the Darkmoon Faire, at least that was the plan. I'm glad to say I'm not the only one that flew around Thunder Bluff looking for the port in, a lot of others were right behind me. Darkmoon Faire that was released in 4.3 will not be opened until December 4 , at least that's what the calender says. If you have any other info please let me know and I'll change what I said. Also I recently opened a little shop online, you should take a peek at by clicking here .

4.3 confirmed for tuesday!

That's right the time we've all been waiting for the mystical, magical, 4.3 patch will be launching tomorrow, I dance a jig of glee. On a completely separate note I've made a store online showing off some of my art work and the best way to tell the world is threw my blog! Here's a Link take your time and check it out. You'll have the time WoW is going to be down for awhile with the patch coming out.

WoW, anybody else miss the old days?

I started to play WoW just before Burning Crusade was release, just to give a point of reference. I recently decided to start another alt, I get the craving every couple of months. This time I made an Orc warlock. I've only ever had a little experience with locks back in the day.  I quickly wound up at level 10 even with no boa's, I bought my skills and went back to questing but had this feeling that something was missing. Eventually it all came to me.  Everything so far was just given to me. Flashback a couple expansions. In order to pick up the next summon, their was a quest. Yup a person had a story, his story included me completing a task for him and what would he do? Grant me the knowledge for this summon.  The whole experience made me feel more apart of the world around me and most of all, I had fun. Everything is now handed to us now. Where their used to be quests for  new spells and gear now it's just handed to us. Where we used to have to go find quests ...

WoW new commercial, can you say Chuck Norris?

That's right the new WoW commercial is here for our enjoyment. When they got Mr. T to come out with his commercial the people cheered, so who could be next? Who could top Mr. T, oh that's right you know you were thinking it, CHUCK NORRIS! If you want to check out the commercial here's a link to the youtube page with it. Wow commercial link   So now that we've had a commercial with Chuck Norris, who do you want to see next? As always I look forward to your comments, that is if somebody left one I'm sure I would like it.

Things to do while waiting for WoW 4.3

So everybody is on the edge of their seat waiting for patch 4.3 to finally get released but it's still not here. I was really thought it would be here by now but hey I can't be right all the time. So by now you've run those pesky raids and TB is just a memory, what's left to do? Here's a list of things I've been up to. Finishing those extra professions. Fishing, first aid, archeology, cooking are all things that I was always planning on doing at some point and just never got around to it. Mount and Pet collecting. Their are tons of pet and mounts to collect all over the world.  Most of them take mind numbing amount of time and will having you beating your head against the keyboard to get but it's all worth it when that stranger comes up to you says " you must be crazy to go fishing for that long for a turtle." Gathering old raid gear. Since we are getting that transmogrification, now's the time to pick up all that super slick gear from days...

Steam Hacked, time to change your password

On November 6th the Steam service relised that the hacking the happened didn't just effect their forums but may have gotten into the actual steam client. Steam released this post: Message from Gabe to Steam Community Announcement - Valve Yesterday, on November 10, 2011, the following message was sent to all users via a Steam message. Dear Steam Users and Steam Forum Users: Our Steam forums were defaced on the evening of Sunday, November 6. We began investigating and found that the intrusion goes beyond the Steam forums. We learned that intruders obtained access to a Steam database in addition to the forums. This database contained information including user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords was...

2 million people leave WoW

A lot of people have recently been commenting about how WoW has been looking a little empty lately, and for a good reason too. Close to 2 million people have left the game. Is this a sign of the death of WoW?  After all those people left before the major content patch of 4.3 and after Blizzcons announcement of the next expansion pack Mists of Pandaria. Do people really hate pandas that much?   I personally don't think so. I really don't think all the people that have left will stay gone. I've always found it amazing how many people "quit" and a month later they are waiting for a FL run. Another reason people could be leaving is because they are tired of paying a monthly fee. WoW now has a lot of competition, not by content standards,WoW still rules the roost, but by the simple fact that their are so many free to play games now.  DC Universe , Lord of the Rings are two big examples that recently have gone free, and companies like Nexon , Perfect World , and GPo...
