Super quick no spoiler Review: DeadPool

I loved DeadPool! I laughed my way threw it. The action was great. While I haven't read very many of the comics the writers managed to capture the comics really well according to what I've been reading fans say. I had so much fun the entire way threw. As much as I loved it though, a warning. It got an R rating for a good reason. Adult humor, blood, gore, nudity, and sex runs a muck threw the entire movie. If you're easily offended by those things you aren't going to like this, and you probably don't want to take little kids to this movie. Go see it, it was well worth my time, money, and bladder control, damn soda.

Do Superheroes movies hurt Hollywood?

Superheroes, hurt, Hollywood..... I don't think so. I was reading on an article about how some people actually think that superhero movies are hurting Hollywood, that's a big no. I can tell you what hurts Hollywood and it's the same thing that has hurt it from the beginning, greed. It doesn't matter what movies Hollywood wants to make as long as they are willing to put the time, and resources into it. The problem for any type of movie comes when the studio gets more interested in how fast and cheap they can put something out instead of how good the movie is. If the story sucks, the special effects suck, and the acting is a joke quickly people are going to want to stop seeing your movies. Of course the makers of those movies just claim that it's because people don't want to see those kind of movies anymore and for awhile they stop until somebody else manages to convince a studio to make one again and the cycle starts all over. The moral of the story is make a g...

Spider-Man 2 Movie Review

Well that was another two hours of my life that I can't get back. Spider-Man 2 was so boring. You would think that with three, yes THREE villains their could have been some action, but for an action movie not very much happens. Really we only get about a half an hour of super hero action and the rest of the movie is I love you but I can't have you, or can I? No I can't, yes I can.... back and forth and back and forth until you want everybody to just get zapped. OK I know, even in the comics the romances of Spider-Man play a big part of the story but when you only have a couple of hours to tell a story it's important to get into the story, move things along and not dwell on things. Another problem with the movie is they tried to introduce to many characters all together. Three villains, all with minimal screen time. The whole movie felt more like they were setting up for their next movie rather than telling us a story.  While other Marvel movies, Iron Man, Thor, did a ...

Another day another hunt 10.27.13

For today's bounty, we will be out hunting Arizona . Arizona can be found in Hunter's Grotto and should drop a shotgun " Landscaper ." Hunter's Grotto is the first location in Sir Hammerlock's DLC, Big Game Hunt. For the Community hunt we are after Stalkers. You can find a bunch of Stalkers in the Highlands , especially in caves.

Borderlands 2 Halloween DLC

Gearbox has released news on the next DLC of Borderlands 2, T.K Baha's Bloody Harvest.  We first met T.K. Baha in the first Borderlands game, blind, missing a leg and brandishing a shotgun. Spoilers, later in the game we find him murdered by bandits, hanging in his shack by his prosthetic leg. In the expansion "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned," T.K. make surprise reappearance as a zombie. Anyway, T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest is set to be released October 22, 2013 on PS3, XBox 360, and steam for $2.99. The DLC is set to have new missions, multiple side quests and a boss battle against the Pumpkin Kingpin. Along the quests you'll get different candies that give you temporary buffs. This is supposed to be the first of Borderlands 2 headhunter packs, where you take out a boss which will give you it's wearable head and a new skin for your character.

New Nintendo 2DS

Today Nintendo told the world about their new hand held system, the 2DS. The 2DS looks like one of those really really old hand held games but has the same graphics as the 3DS minus the ability to show things in 3D. The 2DS will run all the 3DS games along with the the original DS games. It still has the WiFi and local multiplayer of the 3DS. Basically it's a 3Ds laying flat with no 3D. The 2DS is supposed to launch October 12th for about $129.00 in both a red or blue and will include a 4GB SD card. With all the next gen systems on the way I think this is Nintendo trying to not be forgotten but only time will tell if this is going to bring more people back to the Nintendo world.

Siege of Orgrimmar will not only include a new raid where you actually get to lay siege to Orgrimmar (go figure)  but will also include new Flexible Raid Difficulty, a new Arena: Timeless Isle, Proving grounds, and a remade arena system. The new flexible raid difficulty is supposed to adjust it's difficulty automatically based on the the number of players in the raid. Each of the trails will have four different difficulties, bronze, silver, gold and endless. With the new Arena setup players will no longer have to form a team to compete. Your opponets will be chosen based on the average match making rating of the party. Also all  arenas will now be a...

Tales of Xillia Tips

Recently tales of Xillia was released here in the U.S. The tales games have always been some of my most favorite JRPGs so I thought I'd post some tips to help your epic trek threw the game. When in combat remember to use the dodge. If you time the back step right you'll jump back and appear behind the enemy giving you time to unleash a massive combo on your enemy. When exploring the world monsters are just wondering about around you. Don't let them start the combat, make sure to run around behind them. When the combat starts all the enemies will take damage and have a chance of being stunned making life a whole lot easier. Explore, Explore, Explore!  Make sure to take your time and explore everything around you. You never know what you'll find in a hole somewhere. Pick up all the resources you find. Borderlands goes on IOS

Update: Borderlands Legends has been confirmed, like we didn't see that one coming right. It should be available October 31 for $4.99 on the iPhone and $6.99 on the iPad.    While the game isn't going to be the standard Borderlands fps, it will what looks like a top-down strategy games, while still keeping skills and the huge number of potential weapons. Something else we can be looking forward to is being able to control each of the four characters at the same time, and it looks like super powerful team attacks will be able to be used. __________________________________________________________________________________ Recently an advertisement was spotted showing off a Borderlands that will be released on the iPad and iPhone known as Borderlands Legends.  Borderlands Legends will let you control one of the 4 original vault hunters to take out wave after wave of enemies in random missions. DLC, and Patch goodies

Hey everybody how's it going? So the end of June is upon us and we have some great content coming to save us from the murderous heat outside. First we the makers of Mass Effect 3 have decided to appease it's fans with the DLC that is supposed to better explain the ending that left us hanging. Now I have to re-beat ME2 and ME3 just to make sure that I don't forget anything. I started replaying ME3 without an ME2 save and found out that all the ME2 character just don't show up. I was kinda annoyed with that so I'm restarting ME2 tomorrow. We also have the Dawnguard DLC coming out on the 26th as well. Although I've been reading different things all over the web saying that the PC  and PS3 release dates may be later. This DLC is supposed to make us into vampires, that have been super  enhanced from your common everybody elder scroll vampire, or able to make us into vampire hunters. It will also add mounted combat, the crossbow, and as always a ton of new quests....

why i'm not a fan of steam

Why I don't like Steam. As you can probably tell by the title I'm not a Steam fan. While it has it's place and does do a pretty good job of keeping games organized and up to date their is one epic problem with it. When it crashes you can't play anything. Just a second ago I was going wonder the world world of Skyrim only to have Steam tell me that they couldn't connect to anything and while it may be my internet connect it might not be. Why do I need a connection to play Skyrim at all? I understand when an mmo goes down and I can't play it. I don't like it but I understand it, the internet is mandatory for online games, but Skyrim and a lot of other games don't really have anything to do with the online world. I bought a single player game that I could just play without having to worry about internet or other people for. Thanks for taking that away Steam, really...Thanks.

Baldur's Gate, Diablo 3 and Mass Effect 3

So it's been a big day in the gaming world with some great news that everybody can dance a jig of glee about. Baldur's Gate Remix First is that Atari, Wizards of the Coast, and Overhaul Games have announced they are in the process of making enhanced editions of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2. Now for the young this might not mean much but for those of us that have been playing games for awhile this is epic news. The Baldur's gate games were some of the best RPG gaming ever created. Baldur's Gate was release in 1998, in a dungeons and dragons setting you took the role of a character out to find why and who was after you. Along the way you completed quests, befriended companions that you ended up growing close to, all across dozens of maps. This game was as close to an open world as you were getting back then. I can't wait to see what comes of these enhancement editions of the game. If you want more information you can visit the official site here . Di...

Best and Worst Game Endings

So we've all been there, we fight our way threw hours of game play to reach that amazing conclusion. That final boss that all of five minutes before seems like an impenetrable wall now lays bleeding on the floor in front of us, while we the player dances around, flipping off the screen shouting every insulting thing you can think of at that t.v. and then silence. The screen goes black and we wait for that aww inspiring final cinematic.  This is what all that time spent really comes down to, what we are really playing for, what keeps us coming back for more. Sometimes we are left with our jaws on the floor, tears in our eyes and a warm fuzzy feeling washing over use, and other times the that movie ends and the only thing that leaves our mouth is a loud "WHAT THE ...." well you get the idea. Here is a list of my favorite and most hated game endings. The good. Final Fantasy 7,8 Metroid Silent Hill2 Warcraft 3 (Human ending) Xenogear Borderlands (go ninja claptrap) ...
That's right it's finally here, the Mass Effect 3 demo has finally blessed us with it's presence and boy was it worth it. It's not a super long demo but after all it is just a demo, but what a demo it was. You can choose to customize your character or just dive right on in. The demo mode came with an action section, a Role playing section and a story section. The combat is basically the same as ME 2 with nice new sound effects I thought sounded way better. All the classes and skills are back from our last games and the leveling system is basically the same with a new look with the exception of the ability to level a bunch of different things now. It reminded me more of the ME1 leveling instead. Also we are back to being able to customize weapons, sights, grips, barrels it's all there to make the each gaming experience your own. Talk is the same as the last games going back to the wheel selection. I've always liked it and thought it made choosing between be...

The Great Week of Patches

So the great week of patches has come and gone with both ups and downs. The first WoW came out with the long awaited 4.3 patch. The patch included transmogrification, void storage, a raid finder, 3 new 5-man dungeons, new raid content including the defeat of Deathwing, and last but not least The Darkmoon Faire. The new 5-mans I thought were a blast and I've enjoyed them a lot more than the Zul dungeons. I haven't had a chance to use the raid finder or run the new raids because of my lack of gear but should be able to by the end of the week, not that I'm very good at the entire world of raiding but oh well, right. As for the Darkmoon Faire I've had a lot of fun running around playing all the little mini games. It's also a great place to level everything every profession you can think of. There have been some problems however. I made a warlock for giggles and can't delete him, it tells me that he has a heirloom or important item on him even though his mailbox, i...
