New Tomb Raider News!

I'm a Tomb Raider fan from way back when. So when I heard they were rebooting the series I got kinda worried. But after watching all the new vids online and seeing the screen shots I can't wait to dive back into Laura Crofts world. One thing that's been floating around the net is the question will Tomb Raider have multiplayer? Well we finally know. Today Crystal Dynamics Global Brand Director Karl Stewart Twitted "Ok, So after all the speculation..yes it's true. oxmonline.com/our-next-issue...check out @oxm for all the info on @tombraider's new multiplayer." I'm not exactly sure how a multiplayer option is going to work for a game like Tomb Raider, but it's no good to start judging things before we get a chance to play. The rest of the game, from what we've seen so far looks amazing.

More Diablo PvP delays.

Hey everybody, hope you had a great Christmas or what ever you celebrate. For those of us who have been waiting for the PvP content for Diablo 3, we're in for surprise... OK not so much. They've pushed it back......... again. PvP was part of the content that was supposed to come with the launch of Diablo 3, but Blizzard said it came with too many bugs and they didn't want to give the consumer something that isn't any good. I can go for that, I don't want to play something that doesn't work. Now however the PvP has been pushed back again because of a lack of depth. Game director Jay Wilson posted on the Diablo 3 site that "team deathmatch has been indefinitely tabled." "For us it comes to a few issues, one of which is depth.  Simply fighting each other with no other objectives or choices to make gets old relatively quickly.  We've brought a lot of people in to try out Team Deathmatch and, while some found it entertaining, most of our

WoW 5.2 PTR Notes!

WoW addicts rejoice! wowhead.com has published 5.2 patch notes that are up on the public test realm. So what can we get excited for? Well i'm not going to list everything if you want to know a full list go here . Some of the neater stuff I noticed goes as follows. First a new raid will be opening up, Throne of Thunder. Also rogues will get 3 new abilities, along with monks getting two more. Their will be 3 more mounts to collect along with another 3 more companions. Heirloom gear will now be good until level 85, although I think heirloom gear takes away from the fun of the game. Some of the glyphs will be reworked. The last big thing I saw was the slick new Tier 15 armor, something you really should take a look at. Of course this is all just up on the PTR and nothing is set in stone. Really like the new caster armors, but the new paladin armor doesn't look as good.

Borderlands 2, The Legend Continues

Gearbox has done a great job so far giving us new content for Borderlands 2 with their third DLC, Sir Hammerlocks Big Game Hunt on it's way. With the super popularity of the last 2k has said that it wants  to keep supporting more new content to keep the fans happy.  2K has also confirmed that they will be raising the level cap from 50 in the beginning of the first quarter of next year. Past DLC have included Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, the Mechromancer pack, Creature Slaughterdome, and Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's booty. All of which are available on Steam and worth picking up. At least I've enjoyed them a ton. The Mechromancer being my favorite character so far. I'm looking forward to any other new character classes they might think up.

The Secret World looses subsciption fee

Yup, another mmo has decided to loose it's subscription fee. In an attempt to get people to play, The Lost World has decided to loose the sub fee and instead make it a one time price of $30 and you'll be able to get additional content by paying a small fee. Funcoms other mmo, Conan, has also recently removed it's sub fees. The secret world takes place in the present world where you join one of three factions to fight the war against the secret world. That secret world being supernatural beings that threaten human kind. Threw the game you will not only kill supernatural monsters but also investigate conspiracy theories and myths putting the player in a deep and interesting story. The Metasscore for The Secret World is 73 out of  100 and the user score is 8.2 out of 10. You can download The Secret World on Steam for $29.99.

Rage DLC Released

The first DLC for ID's fps Rage has been released today. It's going to cost you about $5. While the DLC doesn't fix any problems that Rage had it does give us a new gun, more places to explore, a new ultra-nightmare mode and a new clan of of bandits, The Scorchers. If you enjoyed Rage when you did play it, I think it's worth picking up. If you weren't a fan of the game to begin with this isn't going give it some new redeeming qualities.

new Rage DCL

Well it's been awhile since we heard anything at all about id's first person shooter Rage came to us but they've finally decided to give us some new content.  It's going to include six new areas, The Scorchers (a new evil gang), new Mutant Bash TV, more mini-games and new gun, the Nailgun. It should be available for $5 or 400 microsoft points. Rage came out in the U.S. in October of 2011 to mediocre reviews. While I enjoyed the game as a whole the ending, which I'll try not to spoil, felt like it didn't actually conclude anything.  It almost felt like we were supposed to have a whole next section to the game. I always figured the first DLC would give us a better ending but not so much. This DLC does give me a bit of hope though, it shows us that they still are thinking about their game and who knows they might actually listen to their fans and finish it.  The DLC should be available next week.

The Lone Ranger Rides Again!

I wasn't to excited about the new Lone Ranger until about two seconds ago. A new trailer for the movie has been released and you can go here to see it. Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer have gotten together with Disney and the same group that gave us the Pirates of Caribbean movies to give us The Lone Ranger.  The story brings us The Long Ranger, a ranger that comes back from the dead being a spirit walker. He now rides the west for justice with his trusty sidekick, an American Indian, Tonto. OK I as soon as I said back from the dead a lot of people rolled their eyes and figure it's going to be a dumb movie but really it looks amazing and you should check it out.

New Superman Trailer.... wait Jonathan Kent said what?!

Everybody has been worried... and I guess excited about the new Superman movie. Superman has been around for a long time now and what can I say, a lot of people have become slightly protective of the man of steel and that's why I'm a little worried after seeing the latest trailer. So before I go off and start everybody worrying to much I'll give a link to the official website, here . You really should go and take the time to watch the trailer so you can judge for yourself.  My problem? Yes the entire thing had beautiful special effects, it looks pretty. Then about a minute in Jonathan Kent kinda sounds like he was telling Clark to just let people die. Jonathan, telling Superman to let people die..... Does anybody else see something horribly wrong with that? That seem horribly our of character to me. It's almost as bad as Alfred Pennyworth abandoning Bruce Wayne in the last Batman movie, and if you've read any of my blogs you know how I feel about that. Of cour

Baldur's Gate, Bioshock News!

So where we go, what do you want first. The good news or the bad news? Oh what the heck lets start down and work our way up. After all it's always better to end on a happy note. Bioshock Infinite, the game we have been waiting for what seems like years has been pushed back yet again. This time it's been pushed back to March 26, 2013.  Ken Levine, the creative director told IGN this time it's been put back for "primarily polish and bug fixing." He also said that they could have shipped the game the game this February but it just wasn't what the fans deserve. At this point I think they may be building this game up for nothing but a failure. I know I've been looking forward to the game for awhile now and when I keep hearing about all the polish they are putting on, I'm expecting one darn good game. It's going to have a lot to live up to. Now for the good news. Another game that's been pushed back a couple time now has finally reached the Itune

Star Trek Into the Darkness News

It's a super exciting time for Trekkies, Star Trek Into the Darkness has come out with a trailer. If you'd like the chance to see feel free to click here , that's going to take you to Apple trailers. People are already starting to analyze the trailer and what they think to be Spock's ultimate fate. I'm not going to make any guesses what's going to happen, since when you do it only leads to disappointment. What can I say, I'm jaded. People have already started taking shots at the movie poster. Not that they shouldn't it is really close to the Batman Dark Knight Rising movie poster.  Still it's a nice looking poster, but still how about  a little creativity. After all they were making the movie poster to one of the biggest franchises around.

Batman The Dark Knight Rises Review

So Batman The Dark Knight Rises is out on blue-ray for everybody so I thought I would give it a review. First of all I'm a Batman fan. I've seen the all the movies, I've read the comics and played the games. So maybe I have a bias, keep that in mind when reading the rest of the review. To be honest I can't believe that anybody liked this movie. While the acting and action was good the plot was crap. It had holes in it you could drive a batmobile threw. Characters that we have all grown to know and love threw the ages acted in ways that not only were out of character but were down right frustrating. I don't want to say exactly what happened not just keep the spoilers away for those masochists that still want to see the movie,  but to save the rest of you the suffering I had to endure. I've never been to a movie that actually wanted to leave in the middle of but I guess their is a first time for everything. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie.

LoL preseason 3 patch

For all us that have become addicted to League of Legends, today preseason patch 3 was released. The patch came with a complete UI overhaul, along with a revamp of the in game store, and adjustments of for gold received during play. For the complete list of changes you can check out the official League of Legends patch notes by clicking right here .

Darksiders 2 new DLC

Tomorrow Xbox 360, PS3, and PC will get the next download for Darksiders 2. It's going to cost $10 or 800 microsoft points.  If you purchased the season pass you can pick it up for free.  For all of you with the Wii U, I have no clue if it's going to show up for you at all. This is going to be the third DLC for Darksiders 2. The first being Argul's Tomb, second being Abyssal Forge.  So what's it about? Well if you don't want to know stop reading, right about... now. OK so for those of you that decided to keep reading, good job. So THQ has let out that this expansion will be about how rumors have surfaced that all of humanity might not have been killed so Death is sent to earth to find out the truth where he finds a new evil, Belial.

Baldur's Gate ISO delayed, Bungies new game

Baldur's Gate ISO Delay So I've been waiting for Baldur's Gate to drop and it did.... kinda. While it did drop for the PC those us waiting for it on the Ipad are going to have to wait for who knows how long. The game was supposed to drop today but a fatal crash bug was found so they are going to have to resubmit to Apple. Rumors say that the game will be out on the 30th but I wouldn't hold my breath. Bungies New Game So the company that brought us Halo, and for us older player Marathon, have released info on their next title, Destiny.  The story begins about 700 years from now, after humanity reaches it's highest point, when a ship the size of the moon enters into orbit around Earth. Soon after aliens come to earth trying to take Earth. The game is described as "social" so the guess around the internet is it's an mmo. Also documents have been found with the Destiny logo along with the Playstation Logo and Xbox logo.

Mark of the Ninja Review, Dishonored First DLC

Mark of the Ninja Review! With the big fall sale on Steam I found Mark of the Ninja on sale for only seven dollars and couldn't resist, after all what's life with out ninjas. I wasn't expecting much when I started but was pleasantly surprised. I haven't had so much fun in a long time. You play the roll of a ninja reaping revenge for the an attack on your clan. The twist? You've been marked with tattoos that are supposed to give you super powers but will eventually lead to your madness. In order to save the world from the madness ninjas of the past with the tattoos have killed themselves. Do you go mad? I'm not going to tell ya, you're going to have to play the game to find out. The graphics remind me of "Samurai Jack," for anybody that remembers that show. It's a fun cartoon look, and I think that makes the brutal stealth kills look even better. Along the way you'll get different gear and skills. Gear ranges from noise makers to spik

Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC

I love the Mass Effect games and between the online play and the DLC for ME3 I've been on a steady stream of ME goodness that isn't about to end yet. Tomorrow, November 27 we have the latest content download for ME 3, that's right we're going back to Omega. Cerberus has taken the Omega station from ME2, and we are going to help take it back. If you want to see the launch trailer you can at ign.com , or you can click right here to take you to ign's movie page with it.

Wii U review

So I was at the local game store picking up some steam points and had a chance to play the Nintendo Wii U, so I thought I'd let everybody know what I thought about it. The graphics were lacking to be totally honest. This is supposed to be the next generation for Nintendo and really it barely was up to the standards of the PS3 and Xbox 360. I saw heavy pixelation in some parts of Batman, where on the PS3 version their was none. The launch titles were a bit lacking as well. I would have loved to have seen the next Zelda game or something on the same scale and it just wasn't there. A lot of the titles are just rehashes of other games that have hit other systems awhile ago. They weren't bad games but with all the amazing titles Nintendo has to pull from I would have like to have seen them on launch. I thought the game pad was just to darn big and after awhile it got heavy. It weighs about the same amount as an Ipad but even that after awhile can be a pain in the backside

New Xbox 720 News

Hello world! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and managed to survive the hordes of people that flooded the stores on this black Friday. XBox 720 News New news has been leaked about the next generation of Xbox. The rumor around the 720, is that two versions will be released.  A weaker version will be released that will use a version or at least bits of Windows 8 as it's operating system. This version wont be able to run the newest "super" titles that will be released and is meant for casual games that will be downloadable on Xbox Live. They're doing this to try to pull in the more casual player that would pick up the system for things like Netflix use and would hopefully grow into people downloading other apps and games. We are still hearing rumors about how the system wont be backwards compatible, also how the game wont be able to play used games. There's no confirmation of this yet, but still if it's true it's sure going to stink. The hope is tha

mmmm news goodness

Between Christmas, Thanksgiving, and super sales everywhere, the end of the year is always my favorite time of the year. Right now we have Steams autumn sale. so if you're like me with little to no money but still have a longing for good PC gaming, now is a great time to start downloading. IGN has decided to give us their reviews of Farcry 3, giving it a 9.  To quickly sum things up they loved everything about it, except that fact that it comes with a flimsy co-up mode. If you want to check out the IGN review you can click here .  IGN streamed a bit of game-play yesterday, and the game looked amazing. The world seemed large, the graphics, physics, everything looked outstanding. The game actually reminds me of a modern Skyrim, and I love Skyrim. I haven't played past Farcry games, but I'm going to picking this one up. Farcry 3 will be out in the U.S. on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on December 4th. On what seems to be a darker note, the new Hitman title has dropped. The revie

Must Haves for Christmas

So here we are again. Another year has vanished and we are back at my favorite time of year, Christmas. OK, so  we still have another month before it's actually here but you can never start shopping for your loved ones to early. Anything to avoid that crazy rush in December where some old lady with an umbrella starts beating you because you got to close to some action figure you never intended to buy anyway, oh the horror... the horror. So this leads us to an all important question what games am I looking for, or what would be good to buy for your friends and loved ones. So here's a list of nifty games. The list is in no particular order and ever growing so be sure to check back often. Borderlands 2 Assassins Creed 3 Mass Effect 3 Halo 4 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Dishonored Darksiders 2 Super Mario Brothers 2 Paper Mario: Sticker Star Uncharted: Golden Abyss Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance Diablo 3 Torchlight 2 What's that you see some games missing,

Also we will see new dungeons and travel to the Daedric realm and learn new dark powers. Skyrim: Dragonborn will be available December 4th on Xbox 360, and only the Shadow knows when we will see it anywhere else. You can check out the official trailer on youtube by click right here .

Heart of the Swarm!

For all of us that have loved the StarCraft series, even if it is only 2 games,  we are in for some great news. The next installment of Star Craft 2 has a release date,  3-12-2013 . Heart of the Swarm continues the story of the humans, zerg and protoss. It looks like the main character this time will be Sarah Kerrigan, former Queen of Blades. I can't say to much without ruining the first part of the story. If you haven't played a Star Craft game and you're looking for not just a great RTS, but an RTS with a great plot go pick up these games. For the official Blizzard Heart of the Swarm site click  here !

MoP Battleground Adventure

With the new Mists of Pandaria came two new battlegrounds, Temple of Kotmogu, and Silvershard Mine. Finally last night I got to run them and I actually really enjoyed them. I enjoyed them so much I actually spend the night running them over and over again. Silvershard Mine puts you and your team in an old Venture Co. mine, where horde and alliance battle  over resources. Instead of having a single place to just stand around and guard, not that anybody actually guards, here you follow one of three mine carts along a track. At the end of the track which ever side has more players near the cart gets the resources.  At first I thought it would be better to guard the cart the entire way along the track then discovered their wasn't really a point because right before the cart would make it to finish point a group the other team would swoop in and take us out. So the game because more or a race to get to the carts just before they finish. Temple of Kotmogu sets you and your team in th

Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Pushed Back.

Baldur's Gate: The Enhanced Edition that was scheduled to be released back in September has been pushed back until November 30th. For those that don't remember Baldur's Gate was a D&D style RPG released on the PC back in the  1998.  It's based in the Forgotten Realms world of magic, swords and grand adventure. Forgotten Realms is a major campaign setting for Dungeons and Dragons, where a large number of books (R.A. Salvatore a must read author is you like Sci-fi/Fantasy), and video games are set including Neverwinter Nights.  Eventually came out with an expansion back, Tales of the Sword Coast, and sequel Baldur's Gate 2. The re-release will have the original Baldur's Gate, the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast, along with new adventures, more characters to find along the way, improved multi-player along with a host of other improvements.  It will be available on Windows, iPad, Mac OS, and Android. It's a shame though you wont be able to download it

Diablo Expansion, Star Wars goes free

Diablo 3 Expansion Blizzard has official let out Diablo 3 will receive it's first expansion. While their are no details, including what will be included or a release date, they assure us it's coming. With any luck this will tie up some of the loose ends Diablo 3 left us at the end of the game. I'll let you know more as it comes to light. SWTOR Goes Free Star Wars: The Old Republic is finally going free. The first official day of freedom is November 15th. For everything that is going to be included, and excluded for the free players, please check out past blogs. Along with going free on the 15th, a new content download will be available for download. The new content will include new level 50 content. The new content will be available for subscribers, free to play players will have to pay for the content.

The people have spoke, and bioware has listend...kinda.

Not to long ago Bioware released the restrictions for the free to play, players of Star Wars: The Old Republic and the people were not happy. Usually once something like this is released the people would be told to just deal with it, after all they aren't paying to play and if they really wanted no restrictions they would pay the subscription fee, but Bioware has decided to listen to their fans and ease those restrictions. Originally for F2P players their would be no second action bar and Warzone battles would be limited to only three a week. With the new changes that second action bar is unlocked and the Warzone battles have been upped to five a week. While it's not a huge change, it's something and for those of us looking forward to playing SWTOR but aren't willing to pay a subscription fee. On a non-gaming note, I've posted my episode of "The Mad Scientist" on youtube and would really appreciate you all going and checking it out. Click here to do

Borderlands goes on IOS

Update: Borderlands Legends has been confirmed, like we didn't see that one coming right. It should be available October 31 for $4.99 on the iPhone and $6.99 on the iPad.    While the game isn't going to be the standard Borderlands fps, it will what looks like a top-down strategy games, while still keeping skills and the huge number of potential weapons. Something else we can be looking forward to is being able to control each of the four characters at the same time, and it looks like super powerful team attacks will be able to be used. __________________________________________________________________________________ Recently an advertisement was spotted showing off a Borderlands that will be released on the iPad and iPhone known as Borderlands Legends.  Borderlands Legends will let you control one of the 4 original vault hunters to take out wave after wave of enemies in random missions. Just like the other Borderlands titles you will be able to gain experi

Star Wars: The Old Republic F2P Details

For those of us who have been waiting to hear anything at all about SWTOR going free, finally Bioware let out some details about what kind of limitations we are going to be dealing with. F2P players will only be able to to do PvE Flashpoints, PvP Warzone and space missions, each three times a week. To get around this you'll be able to buy weekly passes for each that will give you unlimited access. I'm not exactly how this will effect story content but Bioware is still saying all the story content will remain free. Also they have limited the use of the Cargo Bay and your inventory storage, letting you expand both with the new "Cartel Coins." Other things that will effect the F2P people are things like subscription people will have priority to log-in, their ability to quick travel and return to their factions space station (emergency fleet pass) will both have shorter times for subscribers. Along with a few other things that all basically are their for the convenien

Borderlands 2 DLC confirmed

That's right, the all mighty Gearbox has done it again. Not even week after the early release of the super amazing Mechromancer download, Gearbox has confirmed the release of the next DLC for Borderlands 2. This DLC is entitled "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty," is the first of four to be released. The price is set for $10.00, or if you've already bought the season pass for $29.99, you will access to this DLC and the rest upon their release. The content will include new enemies, a new vehicle, the sand skiff, and a new form of money, seraph crystals. We should be able to download this endless shoot'em fun on October 16th.

it's alive! Mechrommancer early release

Oh yeah I didn't see this one coming but it made my day and I'm sure a whole lot of other peoples. The makers of Borderlands 2 has graced the masses that decided to pre-order their super funny, shooting extravaganza, also known as Borderlands 2, with the release of the Mechromancer an entire week early. That's alright you can go change your pants, I can wait. I thought it was kinda exciting too. The new character class known as the Mechromancer is the first added character, along with being the first of the DLC for those who had the good sense to pre-order the game. The Mechromaner is a young lady... well close enough to lady, who's special ability is to summon a floating robot to do her bidding which just happens to be kill, kill, kill and boy does he do it well. With added skills like equipping a laser cannon to the robot, he can take down anybody and anything in his path. But the Mechromancer doesn't just rely on the robot, she can get slick skills like letting

Mists of Pandaria Review.

What has seemed to be one of the most controversial and down right worried about expansions is finally here. That's right Blizzard has finally released Mists of Pandaria. The Mists of Pandaria expansion gave us the monk class, which can play as healer, dps and tank. Along with it the level cap has been increased to 90, we have a new land to explore, more mounts, and dungeons. Really it's your standard WoW expansion. Each one has added to the world and given us a little more to explore and do. This actually has to be one my favorite expansion yet. The new land feels so much different than other lands we've traveled too. Even some of the creatures that roam the land are different than other creatures we've seen in the past.  The story so fun and keeps you interested as you go. While Cataclysm had you visiting different lands all over the world, Mists of Pandaria goes back to the formula of an entire new land to explore. You won't be able to just fly around this ne

Guild Wars 2 first thoughts and WoW Patch 5.01

Guild Wars 2 First Thoughts So I ran down to the store yesterday and picked up Guild Wars 2. The install went just fine along with the giant patch that came with it. Actually I'm having a lot of fun so far. I started off with a Sylvari thief and eventually moved over  to a human thief, see a pattern here? Creating a character was fun, easy, and super customizable. the combat is fun and interactive with neat flashy skills and a dodge roll that actually does something for you. The crafting is  easy to do and while you can only choose two crafting professions, you can change between the others for free. My only complaint so far is that the town maps aren't designed very well. I've spend hours running around and around a single town trying to find one trainer. I thought I could just ask the guy that had the "Directions" written over his head, but even that didn't tell me where to go. Of course after a couple frustrated sighs and choice words I did eventua

Gaming, Laziness, and why you're Bored!

I was just reading about the new profession stuff  for the the next WoW expansion and got excited. New things to farm, new items to craft and all that on top of a brand new world to explore. Then I read some of the posts after and people were complaining about having to farm new mats, and that brings me to this post and the state of gaming today. Laziness, their is no other way to put. People used to take pride in the fact that they were playing the game. They would actually do the quests, and not for some little achievement but for the gear, the money or the story the quest provided. We used to farm materials and while it got frustrating at times we all knew we were going to get something pretty cool from it, a sword or a gem that gave us better stats or just looked neat. But now it seems like less and less people want to do any of that. They want everything handed to them, or they want to sit around a town while they wait for the in game group finder, finds them a group to run the

Gaming health problems, eeek!

I don't know what everybody problem is lately but it seems that sense has left a great deal of people and been replaced with some kind of need to be an idiot. It seems this year we've had a number of people going on extended sessions of game play. These super long gaming marathons have caused people not just to get a little sick but in some cases end up the hospital and even dead. I'm not sure what people are trying to prove with that endless hours of game play and I've been known to play for hours on end but their are limits. Every time somebody goes on one of these binges and ends up sick or dead, you're making gaming as a whole look bad. Every day we hear about how games are ruining society. Kids are fat, it must be a video games fault. A shooting happens, yet another games fault. Everything and anything bad is being blamed on our games and we don't need it. It's hard enough to convince people that every time somebody gets shot it wasn't inspire b

Kingdom Hearts Releases and Star Wars goes free!

For all the Star Wars fans out there that have been wanting to pick up the latest Star Wars mmo but weren't going to pay to play hope is here for you. Today the makers of Stars Wars: The Old Republic has announced that later this year they will be going free....to a point.  The free content will allow players to make it to level 50 and include all the original story, and eight playable classes. They'll have access to the warzones but the time will be limited by the week.  People willing to shell out the coin you'll get access to the new content, more bank slots and have unlimited time in the pvp warzones. The monthly subscription will be at $14.99, also a new for of cash will be introduced called "Cartel Coins." Most people saw this one coming. Honestly I think most games are going to head to something along these lines.  With good mmo's that are free to play coming out like GuildWars 2 and other mmo's going free, I would look for more pay to plays go

Mists of Pandaria Release Date!

That's right we finally have a date. According what I first saw on the official WoW facebook page and then on the official WoW site we can explore the 4th expansion to the amazing World of Warcraft on 9-25-2012. So set your your  calenders, warn your loved ones, and schedule your vacation time accordingly.

Final Fantasy 7, Saints Row 3

Final Fantasy 7 is back! Oh yeah that's right Final Fantasy 7 is going to be re-released on the PC. For those that don't know about 7, shame on you and you're in for a treat. Final Fantasy 7 was the first of the Final Fantasy games to go 3D. With stunning movie sequences, an epic sound track and a story that I have yet to find anything that even comes close, I'm already drooling for this game. Final Fantasy 7 has always been my favorite game of all time and something that everybody should check out at least once. We don't have a date as of yet but I'll keep everybody posted. Saints Row the Third Review. After watching Cox and Crendor play Saints Row the 3rd on youtube, and laughing my head off I decided this was something I had to play. I downloaded it off of steam and still haven't downloaded any of the extra content. I ended up beating the game in about 30 hours but I still haven't gotten around finishing all the side quests. You play as the

Guild Wars 2 official drop date!

Oh Yeah! So finally we get another drop date for the Guild Wars 2. OK so we've had more than a couple release dates that have sent us running to the store to pre order this upcoming free to play mmorpg  that we've been waiting for, for years now. Not that I've been slightly annoyed or anything. Anyway you want to know the darn date, 8-28-12 . That's right August 28th of this year. So clear your calenders, and save up your sick days Guild Wars 2 is coming!

DLC, and Patch goodies

Hey everybody how's it going? So the end of June is upon us and we have some great content coming to save us from the murderous heat outside. First we the makers of Mass Effect 3 have decided to appease it's fans with the DLC that is supposed to better explain the ending that left us hanging. Now I have to re-beat ME2 and ME3 just to make sure that I don't forget anything. I started replaying ME3 without an ME2 save and found out that all the ME2 character just don't show up. I was kinda annoyed with that so I'm restarting ME2 tomorrow. We also have the Dawnguard DLC coming out on the 26th as well. Although I've been reading different things all over the web saying that the PC  and PS3 release dates may be later. This DLC is supposed to make us into vampires, that have been super  enhanced from your common everybody elder scroll vampire, or able to make us into vampire hunters. It will also add mounted combat, the crossbow, and as always a ton of new quests.

Diablo 3 Tips

Basic Diablo Tips for any Class It doesn't  matter if you're playing threw for the first time or your an old pro (well if you're an  old pro you probably know all this), here are some tips to make you're Diablo experience a little better. DON'T STAND IN THE FIRE! So their is way more than just fire that you shouldn't be standing in. Really if it came out of some monster and is bubbling on the ground just stay away from it. I know this is the most obvious thing but in Diablo 3 I've found that the fire, acid, gas and so forth eats your health way faster than just about any attack. The Alt key is your friend. Why you ask, because sometimes after you kill a group of monsters you can't see everything that has dropped, letting you miss out on all sorts of goodies. Just press the  all mighty alt key everything appears and life is good. Make sure you always have an escape route . You make think that their is only a couple bad guys standing around for a

Diablo 3 Stat Guide

Diablo 3 Stat Guide So I know when I started playing I was a bit lost on which stats would help which character. Of course it's easy to guess guess that intelligence is going to be good for the Wizards, and  strength is going to be good for a Barbarians, wouldn't vitality help everybody? And what about Dexterity? Here's a quick guide to that the stat system of Diablo 3. Strength : Raises damage for Barbarians and Armor for all classes. Dexterity : Raises damage for Monks and Demon Hunters and increases Dodge Chance for all classes. Intelligence : Raises damage for Witch Doctors and Wizards and increases resistance for all classes. Vitality : Raises how much life your character has for all classes. Armor : Cuts down on damage taken Damage : How much damage your character can do. So in some way or another each of the stats help. You'll just want to go out of your way to stack your characters main stat, usually followed by vitality. Hope that helps every

Diablo 3 review!

Lots of flash not do much bang! I've been looking forward to Diablo 3 now for what seems like years. I've played since the original and have relived every second of the series, well almost every second of the series. The game it's self has a great story that keeps you tied to your seat until the very end and maybe that's the problem. The story is great, well told, compelling. Explaining things from the other games as to not leave the new players in the dark. It has plenty of twists and turns leaving people guessing what's going to happen next. Not to mention breath taking cinematics that is until you beat the game. With everything that has happened so far you expect some super amazing, wet your pants spectacular ending, and it simply doesn't happen. It almost feels like the developers got to the end of the game, couldn't decided what to do and just said screw this I'm done the end, leaving all of us dumbfounded and wanting. Major characters are j

Diablo 3 Launch Adventure!

That wasn't pretty... So like many people I rushed out and bought Diablo 3 sped home and started the long boring task of installing the game. I unlike what seems like a lot of the others that bought the game actually got the chance to play. Of course that was for only an hour and the servers were down. The entire night the servers were up and down, mostly down leaving the gaming public salivating for the chance to destroy the lords of evil. So was it worth it? I've manged to pummel my way threw about half the game with my monk and have fallen in love. Diablo 3 has a compelling story, tons of weapons, armor, and skills to gather up. The graphics are top notch and the new auction house gives players a way to earn some extra money. People have given the game some bad reviews due to the fact of all the technical problems on launch day, and the fact that the real money section off the auction house wont be up until the 22 of the this month. The simple fact is that if you'v

why i'm not a fan of steam

Why I don't like Steam. As you can probably tell by the title I'm not a Steam fan. While it has it's place and does do a pretty good job of keeping games organized and up to date their is one epic problem with it. When it crashes you can't play anything. Just a second ago I was going wonder the world world of Skyrim only to have Steam tell me that they couldn't connect to anything and while it may be my internet connect it might not be. Why do I need a connection to play Skyrim at all? I understand when an mmo goes down and I can't play it. I don't like it but I understand it, the internet is mandatory for online games, but Skyrim and a lot of other games don't really have anything to do with the online world. I bought a single player game that I could just play without having to worry about internet or other people for. Thanks for taking that away Steam, really...Thanks.

Mass Effect 3 News

Mass Effect 3 News! New Ending Content That's right new ending content. While a lot of people were hoping for an entirely new ending for Mass Effect 3, Bioware has said it's just not going to happen in order to uphold their "artistic integrity" but they will add more cinematic at the end to better explain all those little questions we have left. Lets just hope that this works out. While Bioware hasn't given out an exact date they have said that it will be sometime this summer. First Real DLC On another ME3 note we will be getting a DLC on the 10th of April. the content will include 2 new pvp maps, new classes and races including the Asari Justicar, Krogan Battlemaster, Batarian Soldier, Geth Infiltrator and more. I found this great trailer at gamespot.com, if you'd like to check it out here's a link .

Baldur's Gate, Diablo 3 and Mass Effect 3

So it's been a big day in the gaming world with some great news that everybody can dance a jig of glee about. Baldur's Gate Remix First is that Atari, Wizards of the Coast, and Overhaul Games have announced they are in the process of making enhanced editions of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2. Now for the young this might not mean much but for those of us that have been playing games for awhile this is epic news. The Baldur's gate games were some of the best RPG gaming ever created. Baldur's Gate was release in 1998, in a dungeons and dragons setting you took the role of a character out to find why and who was after you. Along the way you completed quests, befriended companions that you ended up growing close to, all across dozens of maps. This game was as close to an open world as you were getting back then. I can't wait to see what comes of these enhancement editions of the game. If you want more information you can visit the official site here . Di

Best and Worst Game Endings

So we've all been there, we fight our way threw hours of game play to reach that amazing conclusion. That final boss that all of five minutes before seems like an impenetrable wall now lays bleeding on the floor in front of us, while we the player dances around, flipping off the screen shouting every insulting thing you can think of at that t.v. and then silence. The screen goes black and we wait for that aww inspiring final cinematic.  This is what all that time spent really comes down to, what we are really playing for, what keeps us coming back for more. Sometimes we are left with our jaws on the floor, tears in our eyes and a warm fuzzy feeling washing over use, and other times the that movie ends and the only thing that leaves our mouth is a loud "WHAT THE ...." well you get the idea. Here is a list of my favorite and most hated game endings. The good. Final Fantasy 7,8 Metroid Silent Hill2 Warcraft 3 (Human ending) Xenogear Borderlands (go ninja claptrap)

Borderlands 2 new trailer!

That's right the shooter/rpg Borderlands is back with new toons and more more guns than ever before. But before  you start dancing your jig of glee I have more. What's that you say, more? Ok so you've already heard it's coming out but did you see the latest trailer that only just dropped... No? Ahh well I can help you out with this little link here: New Borderlands Vid! Sit back and enjoy all that blowing up, new toons, and claptrap getting his groove on.
That's right it's finally here, the Mass Effect 3 demo has finally blessed us with it's presence and boy was it worth it. It's not a super long demo but after all it is just a demo, but what a demo it was. You can choose to customize your character or just dive right on in. The demo mode came with an action section, a Role playing section and a story section. The combat is basically the same as ME 2 with nice new sound effects I thought sounded way better. All the classes and skills are back from our last games and the leveling system is basically the same with a new look with the exception of the ability to level a bunch of different things now. It reminded me more of the ME1 leveling instead. Also we are back to being able to customize weapons, sights, grips, barrels it's all there to make the each gaming experience your own. Talk is the same as the last games going back to the wheel selection. I've always liked it and thought it made choosing between be

More Blizzard Delays!

As if we haven't been waiting long enough guess what blizzard has pushed back some of the most anticipated games for the year. Diablo 3 which was expected to launch early February, ya kinda late for that now right, has been pushed back to the April-June period of this year. After the game has been pushed back again and again I almost expect not to see Diablo until Christmas time, lets just hope I'm wrong. Along the same lines Blizzard also has said that only one other game will be released this year. That leaves us with  hope for either StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm and WoW's Mists of Pandaria. But that's if all goes according to plan and as that hasn't worked out very well lately I wouldn't hold my breath for either. I guess it's better to holdoff on the releases if they aren't working right rather than release something that is broken. The WoW wait isn't so bad since it feels like we only just got the last expansion but Diablo we've bee

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Review

So here are my first impressions about the ps3 version of Kingdoms that was released today. So far the combat is great. Fast paced, and easy to use. An odd thing though, no matter what weapon your carrying and using you can just bust out your shield. While it comes in handy at times I didn't think it made much sense. Other than that I'm having a blast hacking and slashing my way threw monsters and villains with a great selection of weapons. You get a special power to rewrite fate, it's like a super mode, god mode what ever you want it call it. The world slows down and you do brutal damage. You can turn it on as soon as the purple meter gets full and unleash your  fury, sooo much fun. Their are great RPG elements as well. A ton of quests everywhere, people to just sit and talk with and different professions to spend your time messing around with between battles. The world seems to be huge and give you plenty of space to explore. In the beginning you have a chance to cust

mass effect 3 demo!

The game we have all been waiting for, Mass Effect 3, has finally released a date for which we will be able to enjoy the ever fun teasing of a demo, although your girlfriend isn't going to be to happy about it.  That's right the ME3 demo will be dropping on Feb 14 for xbox, playstation and the pc. Might be a good idea to do a lot of sucking up before Valentine's day this year cause you're not going to want to miss this.

star trek online F2P goes lives...

So Star Trek Online F2P (free to play) has finally gone live. I've always been a big Star Trek fan but I wasn't going to play this one. I downloaded it and thought and now all I can think is, oh look free to play...isn't even going to save this. First the good part. The character creation is great. It has a ton of different race choices and probably one of the most in depth actually creations methods I've ever seen in an mmo anywhere. While you can play a great deal of races some are still missing. Now  for everything else. I found the combat boring. At first I was using the original combat format keep pressing a number to fire the phaser, kill the Borg isn't that nice... well boring. I switched to the new combat system that was meant to be more of a 3rd person action shooter. Still I found myself clicking and waiting for the phaser to fire over and over again killed the Borg and moved onto the next sitting target. I never actually got hit and everything was dea

Ipad 3 release date?!

Were you one of those people that rushed out and grabbed one of those super amazing Ipad 2? Well get ready to do it again! That's right according to Bloomberg is saying that the ever better Ipad 3 will be released in March. I know Apple usually announces it's products on it's on in some super show and (rumor yet again) is that Apple will have that show in a week or so. So whats this new Ipad supposed to have that is supposed to make us get rid of our  last one? The new Ipad is supposed to have a high-definition screen, quad-core processor and support for LTE networks making it able to transfer data even faster than before. All super cool? of course it is. Am i going to rush out and grab one, no. I'm still really happy with my Ipad 2, and to be honest it cost way to much for me to just say good-bye.  Apple seems to come out with some super great update every year that ends up costing all of us fans hundreds of dollars. I'm going to be waiting for at least anothe

Diablo 3 relase date

So everybody has been waiting for the release date to diablo 3 to finally be released to us. Recently bestbuy leaked a poster for diablo 3 saying the release date wad going to be February 1, but we soon found out that it was wrong and the blizzard fanbase sighed in disgust. BUT while I was down at the local GameStop I found out that originally that February 1 was the original date of release and that the new date is March 2! So we can all officially start holding our breath, replaying the past games in preparation and dancing our jigs of glee. Lets just hope this is the right date.

Exciting Titles for 2012

So another year is a upon us and just like every year their are games that we are all waiting for with a glint in our eyes and drool running from our mouths... or maybe that's just me. So here's my little list of games That I'm looking forward to in no particular order. Diablo 3 Bioshock Infinite The Last Guardian Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance Prey 2 Darksiders 2 Mass Effect 3 StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm BorderLands 2 Most of these games will be for multiple systems and a lot of them don't even have absolute release dates. So we can only hope they come out this year, but I'm trying to be more optimistic so yes we will be able to pick them this year.  Fingers Crossed.
