Kingdom Hearts Releases and Star Wars goes free!
For all the Star Wars fans out there that have been wanting to pick up the latest Star Wars mmo but weren't going to pay to play hope is here for you. Today the makers of Stars Wars: The Old Republic has announced that later this year they will be going free....to a point.
The free content will allow players to make it to level 50 and include all the original story, and eight playable classes. They'll have access to the warzones but the time will be limited by the week. People willing to shell out the coin you'll get access to the new content, more bank slots and have unlimited time in the pvp warzones. The monthly subscription will be at $14.99, also a new for of cash will be introduced called "Cartel Coins."
Most people saw this one coming. Honestly I think most games are going to head to something along these lines. With good mmo's that are free to play coming out like GuildWars 2 and other mmo's going free, I would look for more pay to plays going free.
Today Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance was released for the 3DS. The story continues Sora and Rikku on their quest, this time to become true keyblade masters. I guess teaching yourself doesn't count.
New features include flowmotion, a form of travel much like flying was in past games but can also be used as an attack form, and Dream Eaters. Some Dream Eaters are good and called spirits. They become your pet and aid you in combat. You can aquire new recipes to make Spirits. Bad Dream Eaters are making their first appearance as a new villain.
I'm only a couple hours into the game and hope to have a reviews up soon.
