Things to do while waiting for WoW 4.3

So everybody is on the edge of their seat waiting for patch 4.3 to finally get released but it's still not here. I was really thought it would be here by now but hey I can't be right all the time. So by now you've run those pesky raids and TB is just a memory, what's left to do? Here's a list of things I've been up to.
  1. Finishing those extra professions. Fishing, first aid, archeology, cooking are all things that I was always planning on doing at some point and just never got around to it.
  2. Mount and Pet collecting. Their are tons of pet and mounts to collect all over the world.  Most of them take mind numbing amount of time and will having you beating your head against the keyboard to get but it's all worth it when that stranger comes up to you says " you must be crazy to go fishing for that long for a turtle."
  3. Gathering old raid gear. Since we are getting that transmogrification, now's the time to pick up all that super slick gear from days gone by so you can look your best while beating not only other players but when we finally get our shot at Deathwing.
  4. Achievements! That's why they're there, people. When you think you have nothing left to do just pop open the achievements window and their is almost always some weird abstract thing Blizzard can think of for you to do, and if you're already working on professions, getting mounts, pets, and gear the achievements will just naturally come along with them.
  5. And when all hope is lost and you just can't think of anything else to do make an alt. Sometimes you find something that you've never seen before or it gives you an idea on how another class handles situations, improving how you work with them in a party. Also you might just find a class you like. I started the game as a human paladin worked my way up to the 85 and got bored. I decided to make something different and went with a Tauren shaman and now he's more of my main than my paladin, go figure.

Wildstar goes F2P

Another MMO is going free to play. That's right recently the makers of WildStar have announced it's going free to play. I don't know if it's just going completely free and just charging people for the extras in-game or if you'll still have to buy the game but they are getting rid of the monthly fee. Really you didn't need to pay a monthly fee, I know I didn't for the short time I played the game. All you had to do was buy (with in-game money) the special tokens that would let you in-turn buy game time. That's right, it's the system that WoW picked up, which kinda makes me wonder if WoW is going to be going free sometime in the future. hmmmmm. Anyway Wildstar is supposed to be going free this fall.  So if you haven't played or like me got tired of playing, this fall might be a good time to hop back into the game.

Borderlands 2 Halloween DLC

Gearbox has released news on the next DLC of Borderlands 2, T.K Baha's Bloody Harvest.  We first met T.K. Baha in the first Borderlands game, blind, missing a leg and brandishing a shotgun. Spoilers, later in the game we find him murdered by bandits, hanging in his shack by his prosthetic leg. In the expansion "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned," T.K. make surprise reappearance as a zombie. Anyway, T.K. Baha's Bloody Harvest is set to be released October 22, 2013 on PS3, XBox 360, and steam for $2.99. The DLC is set to have new missions, multiple side quests and a boss battle against the Pumpkin Kingpin. Along the quests you'll get different candies that give you temporary buffs. This is supposed to be the first of Borderlands 2 headhunter packs, where you take out a boss which will give you it's wearable head and a new skin for your character.
